It should be noted that you cannot pirate or counterfeit an SD2SNES because the project is open source.  Anyone with the resources is free to design and build an SD2SNES.  You can counterfeit a krikzz' built SD2SNES because that uses a specific PCB with unique trace routing, component placement and silkscreening.

Looks like a "clone", battery brand matches a unit I ordered from Aliexpress. Also the little surfaces for grounding prongs are not tinned as seems to be the case with recent KRIKzz units.
Check if the horizontal resistor next to the USB port says "1691" instead of "1501" or "152"?

News about sd2snes, it was a copy and already requested the return of the $$.
The tip of the resistor that ikari gave me it was essential. Besides this, several of the resistors that are 101 as I observed in the photos that teamvb up to me, in the counterfeits is 1001, and the pcb appeared serm a little higher than it should, since it does not fit properly in another case without the one that he comes.

Knew it by the SD card and sticker from the original pictures. The same ones that the clones at AliExpress use.
It's better to order from KRIKzz.com or an official reseller and just be patient. Guaranteed to not have a clone in that case.

Is there really a Rev.G SD2SNES? If so is it a KRIKzz specific PCB revision, or something new that ikari_01 has yet to add to the github?

I think that the rev g it's exactly the same as rev f and maybe just put some component on other place, or just the write on the board, maybe a mistake when changing the date for new prints, F and G are side by side on the keyboard, because looking the pics of rev f and rev g, i didnt see nothing different, thats why they didnt post anything about it. I just post it about the rev g to warn people that could have some boards with rev g on it that isn't a counterfeit, but it's always good look the resistor numbers as ikari said to be sure that's a krikzz one =)

Two differences my SD2SNES has 1) mine looks cleaner/newer 2) the chip to the right of the Spartan chip is a PW504 which looks similar to this

All other components are identical.

Edit: Ah I found another discrepancy: resistors on the back of the chip in the top right corner read 195 instead of 189.

If you got it from AliExpress (or anywhere that isn't an official reseller), it is essentially guaranteed to be a fake.

EDIT: Another good way to tell is if you get a brand new one and it's still a Rev F. as ikari_01 hasn't released the schematics for any revision above F, but instead released tutorials on how to upgrade the Rev F. to later versions (which would be very obvious if that occurred).

For reference, the latest revision as of today is Rev. H.
