What exactly is the speed difference between this and a normal Super-FX chip (as a percentage) in both 'Normal' and 'Fast' mode?
Is it the whole cart that runs slower, or just special effects using this chip?

GoodTools has the most comprehensive database of ROM files; this tool will rename all your ROMS and remove EXACT duplicates of ROMS. However, you'll still end up with multiple copies of some ROMS, such as v1, v1.1, v1.2 of the same game; European version and American version (and Japanese or others); good rips and bad rips; user mods and original...

Ok thanks. I noticed there's a Cyclone II on V2.3, does that mean it uses more power? I ask this because I'm using a 3rd party 1.2amp 9V PSU and they usually don't have enough juice for the more advanced Everdrives.
FPGA's drain a lot of power. However, 10.8 watts should be more than enough to power any Everdrive. That being said, some cheap PSU's don't meet their specification, so watch out. Also, isn't the Super Everdrive a 5V device? The culprit may very well just be a linear voltage regulator wasting much of your power as heat.

FPGA's are reconfigurable ("Field Programmable"); think of it as programmable hardware -- as long as the desired new features can be implemented with the amount of free remaining logic elements, than updating your flash cart is as simple as putting a new OS file on your SD card

NES is, in my opinion, a poor choice for a graphical upgrade -- it's only an 8-bit system anyway. Not to say I won't purchase one of these for my collection one day anyhow, but I'd prefer to see a mod kit for giving a N64 or even a SNES HDMI output.
What ever became of that FPGA-based NES you were working on, Krikzz? Why not make a Altoids tin sized NES w/ HDMI connectivity and a micro SD card slot for storing ROMS? Maybe even add a LCD screen and gamepad (and battery), so it can be portable.

The Gateway 3DS works, not only on the 3DS, but also can be used to play actual 3DS ROMs. However, while it supports all 3DS/3DS-XL consoles, it apparently only supports the "New 3DS" (XL or regular) up to a certain firmware version, and may be buggy. I use this card on my regular 3DS and it works fine.
There is also a card called the Sky3DS which has similar functionality. I am uncertain of its compatibility with the newest hardware, so look carefully before ordering

Just make a favorites folder and add a copy of the roms you want in there. As long as the roms are the same name they will use the same save file as the ones in the regular folder setup.
To prevent wasting space on the SD card (or having ROMS in the favourites folder not present in the main folder), symbolic links could be implemented. However, I can't see this being a major feature

I think this one is a no-brainer; the most (and hopefully not mislead) anticipated future feature of the SD2SNES is compatibility with the SA-1 custom chip, followed by Super-FX.
Apart from that, additions I'd personally like to see include: save state support, GameGenie implementation, and a more modern graphical user interface.
