Everdrive N8 - is there a soft reset?
« on: May 29, 2013, 08:02 AM »
Like the title says is there a soft reset? Or will I need to create a special controller with a reset button? :)

You'll need to make a special controller with Reset button.   8)

No soft reset, AFAIK.

absolutely, since I am new to this forum I really haven't documented anything here yet but will be sure to post when I get to that project. Not really difficult just need the time to do it.

Could you just run some wires internally from the Reset switch to whichever pins on the Player 1 control port you want to designate for performing a reset? That way you could, for example, hold left on the D-pad, Select, and A button on controller 1 to reset the NES.  I know you could configure a 2-button combo reset, but I'm thinking a 3-button combo would better prevent unintentional resets.

Dogbone with the tiny reset button. Its small enough and placed that you wont hit it by accident.

And here it is in action, modded this system up for my Everdrive:

Yeah thefox made one.  The system isn't reset just the powerpak.  Too bad the powerpak sucks and the n8 slaps it silly.

I would hope not, they're more buggy than the n8 mappers.
