How well will the N8 fit into a NES cart shell with the internal converter?

Hi everyone,

I have a Gyromite with the convertor. Curious how well will the N8 board (famicon version) fit into a NES housing/shell with this adapter?

I assume the hole should line up and fit pretty much like this picture.

ya i am hoping it does too, but if not all you have to do is sand that down a bit its not a big deal

Only issue I can think of is that the micro-sd card will be difficult to access.

well the micro sd slot is supposed to be spring loaded isn't it? if that is the case you should be able to pop it out without unscrewing the adapter to the cart but you would still have to open the cart. i'm doing it this way to avoid holes in the cart, i personally don't mind unscrewing a couple of thing every month or  two, at some point it would need unscrewed even less.

instead of the boring grey shell it would look nice in a repro shell from retrozone they only $5 and choice of 4 colours just a thought

i've been thinking about that myself,  but it raises the question, is there a spot to bolt down the converter, i'd hate to think that thing is just flopping  around loosly

edit: i just looked it does look like it has the screw holes for the adapter

For me, its going to be either a grey cart or a spare Zelda Gold cart

I currently have, well.. had a PowerPak from Retrozone with the red color, didn't like how it looked, rather have the original look from the 80's myself. So I sold it today when I found out Everdrive has a NES/Famicon board! I LOVE the Everdrive line!

It is, but luckily I have a shell only already to go. Only issue is its the 3 screw version, I may just have to wait for the nes n8

i think i'll stick wiht my grey 5 screw, my label i designed is made to look like a old 5 screw label anyways

fits pretty well there is enough thumb room to get the sd card out without unscrewing the converter too just the shell
