cool ^^

how can we use dma saving?
this could be much faster for big gameboy games

maybe:
#define DCFG_RAM_TO_SD 2
regs_ptr[REG_DMA_CFG] = DCFG_RAM_TO_SD;

i guess save type is just type 6?
#define SAVE_TYPE_96K 6

ok it's 4 :D

OFF       : 0
EEPROM 4k : 1
EEPROM 16k: 2
SRAM      : 3
SRAM 768  : 4
FLASHRAM  : 5

the ED64-IO sources are now a bit outdated ^^

I did a quick test ^^

Aleck64 is working :D

The 64DD games are working and even F-Zero X 64DD is working with SRAM and DISK-RAM, like it's supposed to be. :D

Dezaemon 3D is saving but it seems like DezaemonXD isn't saving to DISK-RAM
...or maybe i'm doing something wrong ^^

For those that will ask for 64DD games, just download them from here http://bsxproj.superfamicom.org/64dd/dump/  on the 64drive cartridge port column  :)

With this update, do 64DD games work on the Everdrive exactly the same as regular games? You just select the file and they play?

yes just like normal games

I did not say anything about dma saving (:
For DD64 i save only those data which were changed, instead of save whole disk image (:

Does it work equally well on ED64 v2, v2.5, v3.0 or are some features only for v3.0?

Thank you for this great update, KRIKzz and the fact that you are still supporting ED64 v2.

Krikzz , it will be necessary reset the console to save de 64dd games on v3 or dont just like the other games? And how about the time that takes to save? still something  around 6-10min like saturnu said on his(or her? i have no idea about you gender haha) posts about this on alt-os ?

rafaelalvesals, depends on what you have modified. Usually seconds.
Also, I noticed that Using Saturnu's OS +64DD = Really hot ac supply. Not with Krikzz's OS!

Fo 64DD reset required even with v3. Saves speed depends from size of modified data,  during the testing, DD saves worked instantly, may be even faster than regulare game saves backup

Yea, that is correct. I modified (played AND saved) Talent Studio a lot, but no data on F zero x. Talent Studio took 10-15 seconds (Finally!), and F zero X took just a few seconds (Because I did not modify anything or was it modified)

As usual, Krikzz, you prove why you're the best! Thanks so much for this. And thanks again to Saturnu, for his pioneering work in getting the 64DD on the Everdrive 64 to begin with.

Krikzz, as a 'thank you' for this fantastic update, have a previously unreleased Megadrive game!

Actually, I have  no connection to this release at all, I've just read the thread on Emu Xtras (a great XBox (original XBox) forum).

Once somebody has a nonregistered link, remind me and I'll put it here: http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/prototype-releases-of-2015.55127/

Like Kerr Avon, I CANNOT give just a "simple" thanks. Here it goes. Thank you SO much Krikzz. Now instead of 99.9% Support, we have 99.99% Support now. Now we need to add disk swapping and 64DD will be 100% complete (Software wise, hardware we still need capture cartridge and Randnet cart). But I'm not complaining at all. I am perfectly satisfied with your work, and considering you are mostly a sole proprietorship business, you are impressive. Willing to fix broken cartridges, taking most people's suggestions, and assembling and programming the carts and Operating Systems. And they are cheap too. There is only one actual BRAND of flashcarts, and that is yours. I am so glad that you turned your hobby into a successful business. Please Krikzz, keep it up, and if you ever need a vacation, I understand. I am patient. Thank you so much.

I updated my ED64 v.2.5 to 2.10 but I'm having some serious issues.
After updating whenever I try to boot a game I get the message. Corrupted Rom Bad CRC.
Also I ran a self test using 2.10 and It gave me quite a few errors.
Here is a screenshot of the test results.

I have no problems with 2.09 all games work and the test passes with no issues at all.

Cheakerdoodels, try removing OS v2.10 from your card (remove the whole ED64 folder from your SD card) and putting OS v2.09 back on, and see if everything works. If it does, then you know that nothing has corrupted your roms or the card's FAT (file index), so then remove the ED64 folder (to get rid of OS.209), put OS 2.10 on, and try again.

Let us know the results.

Kerr Avon I tried that after it happened along with a few other things right after I had the problem (2.09 works with all games ever after switching back to it).

I should list what I've tried and what I know though.

I've tried switching between 2.09 and 2.10 about 5 times.
I have tried 2 different SD cards.

The only clue I may have is that the first boot with 2.10 is supposed to go to error 0x10 but mine would only do 2 of the many tries at switching to 2.10.
Also it would go to the error 0x10 when I went back to 2.09 and the reset button rebooted the everdrive correctly to the main menu. But the one time 2.10 gave the error the reset button just led to a black screen.

Thanks for such a massive update! I was really suprised to see how fast saving was for the 64DD games :).

I had a question, is it possible to have the 64DD conversions linked to the RTC of the ED64 V3? Doshin the Giant has a game breaking glitch where if you save, reset your console, and load your save, you cannot complete the next day. This happens when you load the game at a time before the last save (Ex. if the RTC said you saved on 1/2/15, you reset the console and the RTC says you loaded the save on 1/1/15).

I would assume it would be hard because the conversions probably remap some important info and the roms might need hacking. Besides disk-swapping (which is probably near impossible without using a pc), that would be one of the last accomplishments that would allow the preservation of DD consoles and games alike.

I have this same issue, but because the majority of users don't krizz probably won't work on a solution.

P.s. I don't have the failed test issue, but everything comes back as corrupt. Disable the option for corrupt crc check and it just goes to a blank screen.

p.p.s. I actually do get the same self test with 2.10.

Since the bug that Cheakerdoodels and chrisw80 have reported seems so rare, and Krikzz can't (yet) replicate the bug, can we all please post up what version of the Everdrive 64 we have, and if it works with v2.10 of the OS, or if it fails to load the games?

I have a v2.0, and it works with OS v2.10.

Cheakerdoodels has a v2.5, and it doesn't work with OS v2.10.

I have this same issue, but because the majority of users don't krizz probably won't work on a solution.

Krikzz doesn't work like that, if there is a problem then he doesn't ignore it, he tries to fix it. But since he can't replicate the bug himself, then it will be difficult for him to know what to for him to fix. It might be that you or someone else who experiences the bug would need to send your ED64 to him, so he can work on an ED64 that does show the bug.

Anyway, what version of the ED64 do you have, please?

Same problem, but my self test has diffrent results (http://puu.sh/kIOCP/319910a8d3.jpg).

Everdrive 2.5 with PAL CIC (System info (http://puu.sh/kIOPp/8a8a67b813.jpg)), says ED64-v2.51, 11.09.2014 on the board.

Although the OS file Krizz posted on the other thread (http://krikzz.com/forum/index.php?topic=3498.msg33253#msg33253) worked for me(and plays DD games, f-zero at least) and passes self-test.

2.10
06.10.2015
1) 64DD support (cart conversion)
2) CIC-5101 support for Aleck 64
3) "Recently palyed" menu
4) SRAM 96K support (Dezaemon 3D)
5) Fixed default save type for Kirby U/E
*At first boot OS will throw error 0x10 and reset all settings to default. This is normal
Any chance this will make it to Super Everdrive?
I would love this. :)

Hi, I'm new, I know the post is old, but could someone tell me if doshin the giant 1 and 2 are working properly and are saving the saved games?
