Title: Game List Not Populating
Post by: airco on December 20, 2018, 06:45 AM
I recently bought an SD2SNES off of Stone Age Gamer, but when I tried testing it, I found that it didn't load any of the ROMs or folders I had on the SD card. I could access the options menu, but by default, all I saw was this screen:

Here's the folder structure I last tested with:

I've tried on two different microSD cards with the two latest firmware versions, but no luck. I've run the SD2SNES diagnostic tool, and according to the log file, it passed every test that it ran. Does anyone know what the issue could be? Thanks in advance.

Which format do you use on the SD card? FAT32?

Make sure the ROMs are unzipped if they aren't already. Flash carts tend not to have the RAM to decompress on-the-fly so they don't recognise .zip/.rar etc. They have to be in .sfc or .smc format.

I've noticed from the image you posted that your game folder is in the same directory as the sd2snes firmware. You may want to move that folder to the root of your SD card as the sd2snes firmware folder won't show up in the list.

Try another SD card if you have one at hand.

This is what you need to do before anything else

Oops, yeah, that's definitely it. I must have misread the instructions, thanks.
