I picked up a 1200mA power supply, and this fixed the problem completely. Thank you to all who replied.

What should I look for in a power supply to make sure it's good enough? I'm not using an original.

Sure. Here's a video. Thanks for looking.

You can see it's not as much of a problem in the menus, but when you start a game it's very noticeable (particularly on the racer select screen). This does not happen with an actual game cartage.

No. I looked at this a little more and maybe this will provide more clues.

In a game, the lines are constant and perfectly regular in their roll from the top of the screen to the bottom. However, in the menu when you turn the console on, occasionally the lines are absent, and appear when I select the game menu. In fact, going through the menus causes the lines to jump around, and in some cases change thickness. Toggling any option seems to change them. However in game they are always the same.

When using my SD2SNES, I get a pair of dark horizontal lines that crawl down the screen slowly in an endless cycle. This does not happen with an actual SNES cart. Any ideas what might be causing this, and how it could be fixed? It's very unpleasant.
