Wow, thank you so much for these comprehensive answers to my questions! This is very helpful, and I hope others who have the same questions as I did will be helped by reading it also. Looks like I'll be picking up a Everdrive GBA X5 very soon :)

Hey alondite, would you be willing to post their response? I've been eyeing some new Everdrives but I don't want to buy just yet if there's going to be a sale soon.

Hey everyone! I have an Everdrive 64 v2.5 and a Super Everdrive x5, and I'm thinking of buying an Everdrive GBA next. I do have a couple of questions though, and was hoping somebody might be able to help. First, does the ED GBA support both GB/C and GBA titles? Will it also run NES or SNES titles? Are there any GBA games the ED can't run? And is there anything else I should be aware of or that I will need to buy before ordering? For reference, I use a GBA SP and I have an ED-tested 16GB microSD card on hand and ready to go. Thanks in advance (no pun intended) for any advice!

Try formatting the one that doesnt work to FAT32 with:

Thanks, jones! I downloaded the formatter for mac and reformatted my cards with it. That did the trick! Now both of my other cards will work with my Everdrives. Really can't thank you enough for this tip!

Sometimes the Everdrive 64 refuses to work with some cards, even after formatting.
In these cases I've had luck using regular sized SD cards (NOT micro or mini SD).

I would have tried this as well, but my v2.5 only accepts microSD. It's one of the latest models without the standard SD slot.

Bumping this back to the first page in hopes someone might have an answer. Is there a way to make thse microSD cards work with the Everdrive again?

Quick update for those in this thread still experiencing the issue. KRIKzz just released an OS fix for the reset error. I tried it out this morning and it works great!

This might be a silly question, but have you formatted your micro sd card properly (FAT32)? There is also a new OS KRIKzz released today that you might try with your x5.

That would be great, Daria! I would love to play Yoshi's Garden if there's a way it can run on hardware. Thanks for looking into it.

Glad to help! Yes, the Everdrive deals for Black Friday are usually very good.

Yes, it works great! KRIKzz sent it to me after I wrote him a message about the issue.

The best online shop to buy Everdrives is, which is I believe the official shop — they work with Krikzz directly in Ukraine and ship worldwide, including to North American countries.

EverDrive 64 / Weird MicroSD Card Issue. Please Help!
« on: October 23, 2020, 03:05 AM »
Hey all, I've got a strange problem I'm hoping someone might be able to help with. I have three of these Sandisk 16GB micro SD cards (pictured below). All of them store information just fine, but only one of them works with my Everdrives. (For reference, I have an Everdrive 64 v2.5 and a Super Everdrive x5). Both of the others bring up an error message, "FAT system not found" on both flash carts. I've attached a picture showing the issue from my 2.5 below. All three SD cards have been reformatted to FAT32, and they are all otherwise exactly the same. Is there something I'm missing, or something I can try to get them all to work? Thanks much in advance for any help.

Did you happen to rename your rom file in the time between the last time you saved and now? Or maybe swap it out for a different rom (same game)?
