Sorry for reviving an old thread, but I happen to own a 64DD and all the hardware accessories: Keyboard, Mouse, Modem, Capture Card.

If you still need the PIF ram dumped let me know. I had actually planned on building a dial server in a virtual Machine running Windows 2000 Server.

My plan was to have the server pretend to be 03-3568-5050
Which is the number it dials. I would then analyze the traffic being sent and hopefully get the web browser and email working again just for kicks.

Btw.. You may find this information useful...

EverDrive 64 / Turok: Dinosaur Hunter Source Code Discovered!
« on: June 23, 2017, 07:48 PM »
This is a HUGE discovery!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONEy_ybKWsg

Having the source code to a completed N64 game is going to greatly benefit the Homebrew community in terms of understanding how to write a game. I can't wait to see what comes out of this!

He isn't going to upload the source, but sell the unit itself containing the source on ebay...

These posts are always fun...

As long as you learn/know how to program in C and know how to compile a rom using an N64 DevKit you can make whatever game you want.

You can't take an already made game and put it on the N64 unless you had the original code for the game, which you don't because Ace Attorney isn't open source and an emulator on the N64 for a DS game is completely out of the question.

Anyways here is a good place to start...

Good luck!

A Cartridge conversion of SimCity 64 has apprently existed since at least 2004 according to the date on the rom files that I have. You shouldn't have any problem finding it. I have loaded it on the EverDrive 64 before, it was in Japanese as expected, but it worked.

File Name:
Simcity 2000 (J) [!].z64

a .Z64 Version of the SimCity64 rom already exists dating back to 2004 and works just fine on the Everdrive. Doesn't that mean that someone out there has already figured out how to convert and run the 64DD games without the 64DD?

I actually fixed the reset button on the N64 before... it involved desoldering the reset switch and carefully removing the clips on the button exposing the spring and then copper contact plates. the problem is the plates flatten over time but you can bend them back out and make it good as new. You might not need to desolder the button if you have small enough tools, but I did it to get a better look at the switch.

If you wanted to just bypass it, the switch basically grounds out  when you press it and as soon as you release it, the CPU resets.

I might be able to take some pics when I get home.

Have you tried Opening CMD.exe or the Command Prompt on your windows computer and then dragging and dropping the DOS executable into that window? Typically you have to launch Command line applications via the Windows Command Prompt or CMD.exe.

EverDrive 64 / Re: Smogon Battling on kaillera is FINALLY Possible!
« on: October 29, 2014, 05:32 PM »
Forgive my ignorance, Can I get an explanation on what all that means?

I found this: http://www.smogon.com/ and this: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Smogon

So I get that this is some kind of unofficial competition thing and that there is an online client

http://www.kaillera.com/

Is the everdrive going to link up to Kaillera via USB or something?

« on: October 22, 2014, 09:00 PM »
Were they able to figure out how to make Star Road work and is goldfinger gonna be done soon? Also is there any new maps for goldeneye or any new rare roms get released? I haven't been on here in a while so what's new? Any cool new backgrounds or maybe sticker art for the everdrive cart?

excellent! Maybe we will learn something about the differences between the two. No one has ever really bothered to examine VRUs in depth before. The reason I am convinced it is a resistor or something simple is because of Nintendo past history with such things...

You must really hate most of the Call of Duty games then, especially Call of Duty 4. All those games have a lot of brown/desaturated post processing filters on them, because you know, brown is real. Resistance Fall of Man is also very guilty of this. Shadow of the Colossus is also pretty brown.  ;D
