Off Topic / Re: New Mega Everdrive X7 revision!!

Wasn't the issues with the SSDS3 all RGB related? I heard all of the other functions worked great. Luckily the MegaSD doesn't have or need RGB output.

Good point, and frankly not everyone (like me) noticed it as a big issue.

There was also a problem with CD audio noise when accessing the SD card. To me , that was a more annoying issue than the “dirty” rgb output.

Both these issues were fixed in the latest batch, but early adopters were screwed with these faults. There are small mod boards to fix these issues but it requires some hardcore soldering.

I think Retro-Bit has this market sewn up.  Their offerings across most all the SEGA and Nintendo classic systems are pretty hefty.

Do you mean 8bitdo? Because Retro-bit products are next to trash.

I suggested a PC-Engine wireless controller to the Terraonion guys, but I’d back it here too.

Doesn’t matter to me who makes it, as long as it feels similar to the PCE original controllers, and doesn’t introduce any noticeable input lag.

The original wireless PCE controller and receiver fetch a small fortune these days.

Hmm, just a few shots in the dark:

1. is your sd2snes folder writeable?

2. do you have another SD card you can try?

3. perhaps try cleaning the pins on the SD2SNES with Isopropanol? You never know, dust or dirt could be getting in the way.

Good, brotha! How you been? Haven’t seen you around the other forums in a while. Did you take a break?
Glad to see got the SD2SNES, it’s fantastic. If you need any more help, feel free to pm me. I’ve been happy with my cart for a few years now, and can help you as best I can.
The members here get quite snarky to new members asking for tech support (even if it’s the whole point of this forum). ;)

::) The less snarky response would be “check the directory structure”.

Hi Lemony  :)

Off Topic / Re: RetroUSB AVS - why did they do this????

Someone should 3D print a replacement door that is shorter or allows the famicom carts to stick out.

...Not it. ;)

I looked into that mod, but decided against it because of the smaller game display, and the disclaimer from BennVenn stating that the power hungry everdrive doesn’t work well with it. Does the X7 draw less power than the other versions?

EverDrive GBA / Re: Everdrive GBA Plastic Cartridge Game Case

LOL oh no dust is going to touch the Everdrive plastic and not the actual pcb, what ever will I do?!

Pathetic justification attempt.

How so?

Because its not a fully enclosed case

It's better than nothing.
Do you know of a better case? Please provide link.

yep one i showed off in another thread here

A Nintendo Gameboy case comes in clear plastic u take a flat box knife the retangle one to cut away the 2 long bump/fins from the bak inside of the case then use some soft foam and double sided tape to afix the foam to the sides of the inside of the case works great when not in my gba sp

LOL What kind of ghetto solution is this? I’d rather have a solid one-piece cap like the OP’s Modified cases than some trashy looking foam solution using a case that doesn’t even properly fit. At least the OP’s is one piece that fits onto the cart without it rattling around.

Try harder to come up with an actual better solution before you start talking shit on people’s ideas. This just makes you look like the pathetic one.

EverDrive N8 / Re: Is mapper 30 officially supported yet?
« on: August 16, 2018, 06:01 AM »
So just because it's not official, is unlicensed, or is a pirate mapper, means that we shouldn't support it?
Not without the consent from bunnyboy (creator of that mapper). Why would you want to screw over a homebrewer?

EverDrive N8 / Re: Why so hard?

I'm so hard right now.  ;D

Oh wait, the thread title confused me. lol

LOL, awesome video!  Glad there's someone out there dispelling the theoretical nonsense.

I couldn't watch it, was there any footage of Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius? ^^;
There sure was and from what I can tell it ran great. I love that game.

Nice. I hope he can find a way to fit MSU1 into his core, as myself and PepilloPEV are working on an MSU1 version of the game using the PS1/Saturn soundtrack.

If it doesn't fit with SA-1, it's not really worth stressing over being implemented; SA-1 > MSU-1 as far as priority IMO.  Let him implement that first.
Or we can just let him decide what he wants to spend his time on, since you know, he's actually doing the work.  ;)
We are just incredibly lucky that there is someone supporting special implementation of these chips, so lets try not to make any demands ok?
