Off Topic / Re: EverDrive Complete Game Packs
« on: August 28, 2015, 05:58 PM »
Bloody hell, that took a lot of time and effort - MANY THANKS 👍

Is it a case of reformatting the relevant Everdrive and quick formatting it, etc, then adding your complete pack?  Does it include relevant directory files?
Does the version number (v3 etc) mean the packs will only work with that version of card?
In which case could I remove the ROM folders from your packs and replace my ROMS with yours?

Once again, your efforts on our behalf are appreciated.

The only relevant directories you don't want to remove would be the bios folder that boots the card and builds the directories. These rom packs do include the current bios for each Everdrive card. V3 is simply the third version of that rom pack, having nothing to do with the Everdrive version. Works with all Everdrives. You can remove/switch any roms/folders you wish as long as it's not the bios. Wont effect the pack.

And as Goombakid said this isn't my work, everyone thank Smokemonster for his extremly hard work on these. Saved everyone a lot of time.

I was just browsing through the Turbo Everdrive forums and happened upon this post from Krikzz regarding the GBA everdrive:

So in my mind it's a reality now regardless of how long it may take. I'm extremely happy and saving my money  ;)

great memories using underground games.. im a member on GG as well. is another great ttorrent site with retro and new game collections. one of my favs at the moment

So thanks to the advice of everyone I acquired an amazing arcade cabinet. I'm still a little dumbfounded and in shock picking this up at only $225. The seller gave no explanation as to why he was selling the Neo Geo cabinet other than he had very little room left in his garage(true) and was clearing space. Very minor wear on the sides, front, and top of cabinet. Just kind of faded from aging. All the hardware looks great no rusting or damage from what I can see. Nothing leaking. The games are the originals and play flawlessly. The screen is the original from what I can tell a Zeneth and functions flawlessly. Very bright and colorful, no dimming problems. Opened up the joystick control panel and the parts look brand new from what I can tell. Functions and responds well,  joystick and buttons feel very tight. The only problem I can find and can't seem to solve is a high pitched humming sound that starts up after about 5 minutes. The humming sound seems to be separate from the sound coming from the speakers which function perfectly. Coin slot is functioning well, lights up and sounds like there's quite a few quarters in the tank.

Detailed pictures of everything coming as soon as I'm finished with the whole family Christmas get together in a few hours.

So appreciative of all the knowledgeable and kind people on ED forum.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate the help Mattroid. I'm going to apply all the information I've learned  from you to the deal, spot check everything carefully and hopefully I'll end up with a simi-decent machine.. but for $225 it's kind hard to pass this up despite the condition. He has a 161-in 1 cart for $50 I'm on the fence about. Great pictures btw.. I promise to take very detailed pictures of the purchase and post them here.

Off Topic / Need Advice Quickly.. Neo Geo MVS 4 Slot Arcade Machine
« on: December 24, 2014, 08:44 PM »
I need some quick advice from anyone who's had experience with the Neo Geo MVS arcade cabinets. I've wanted one since I was a small child and I recently found a local guy willing to let his go for $225. It seems like a great deal. I can't really tell the condition from the Cel phone pics. I'm meeting the guy @ 2pm today and I was just hoping someone could give me some advice on what to look for as far as defects or hardware inside the cabinet that I may run into issues because it's such an old arcade machine.

This is a huge Christmas present to myself :)

Thanks and Merry Xmas all!

I would also recommend the SD2SNES and Mega Everdrive for auto region detection. Yes they cost more and I struggled with the decision to pay the extra cash.. but when you receive them you will see where that extra money went and will be glad you chose them.

The sales been going on since Friday. Nearly three days.. seems more than enough time. Better luck next time.

That sucks, it hasn't even been 2 days yet!

No other sales the entire year?

Why not just hold out and wait a little longer? Rumer has it Krikzz is working on a GBA card next.

If you can't hold out a great alternative in my experience is the Supercard DSTWO for Nintendo DS. Plays all games flawlessly.

I'm sure Krikzz and team will make it right. They are very honest. I'm located in Medford Oregon and ordered around the same time you did. Only difference is I actually received my package this week.

If there was some kind of mistake with the package address and it's headed back to the Ukraine I'm positive you will either be refunded or have it reshipped to you.

Krikzz and team are experiencing much greater activity around the holidays. It took a week before they got back to me as well through email. Don't bother with the # on homepage around this time. Just keep emailing them and they will eventually reply. Don't give up.. your not out $100. Krikzz will make it right.

Nothing wrong with going with WEGAs. Here in Portland on Criagslist most people practically pay you to haul their 27"- 36" away. There is a noticeable difference going the RGB route, but for all intents and purposes it's hard to argue with FREE when S-video and component do a decent job on the WEGAs. Unless your willing to spend half grand+ on modding systems and tracking down a decent BVM or PVM I honestly don't think it's worth the time/money spent as much as I love RGB.
