FXPAK (SD2SNES) / Re: Poor video quaility SD2SNES Pro

I would try upgrading the voltage regulator to a 78S05, as it supports up to 2A output current, unlike the standard 7805, which only goes up to 1A.

Why bother with SDD-1 at all when you can just patch both games to not use the chip? Seems like a waste of resources to emulate it just for two games.

wait, can you patch street fighter alpha 2?

Hi, I just made this mod today (08/21/2018), it worked perfectly in ver. F, msu sounds were great, I used the Borti design board, https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/1ej3Nrdj, and the capacitors and resistors I got on ebay, I saw it on aliexpress, if anyone needs I have 5 ready made boards available in Brazil, just get in touch, I used the tutorial:

ikari, i noticed one of your commits addresses a very specific bug in saving. do you intend on releasing a compiled version as minor update?

I have a Chinese SD2SNES that so far has not given me any issues, but that does not mean all Chinese units are perfect. I consider myself lucky. The thing with them is that Quality Control is all over the place, and there would be no one to complain in case (not even here) you get a dud. In order to get one of these, you must bear this in mind.

We know KRIKzz's quality control and customer service is honestly second to none. If my country wouldn't tax me 60% over imported goods I would certainly grab one from him instead of rolling the dice with the Chinese one, and I still plan on getting an original one now that my brother lives in Canada and will visit regularly.

It is also worth noting that the SD2SNES is a grey area when it comes to its morality, as it is open source, but Everdrive clones aren't. KRIKzz keeps his source code closed for a reason, and we should respect that.

EDIT: oh, v07 is working beautifully too, but I have not tested the previous versions

did any of you experiencing problems run the Diagnostics Firmware to check your SD2SNES cart? It's very unlikely something this specific is a hardware fault, but there's a small chance

What's your problem?
If you run Diagnostics Firmware, the display just in black screen
step by step like this :

- Download the diagnostic firmware (see link above) and unpack it to your SD Card just like a regular firmware update.
- Put the SD Card back into your sd2snes and turn on power.
- If right after startup either the green LED light up or the yellow+red LEDs light up and nothing else happens (no intermittent LED flashing etc.), the SD Card could not be initialized. It might be worth trying a different card. Otherwise there is a contact problem with the SD Card slot (hardware failure), or the sd2snes’s microcontroller doesn’t boot up properly anymore. Tests cannot continue in this case.
- Wait ;) The diagnostic firmware does not show anything on screen, it will work silently for a couple of minutes.
- The final test is the SNES bus test. During the test the screen will turn red, orange, yellow, and finally green if everything is ok. If the screen remains black for more than 20 minutes something’s up.
- Testing is finished when the three LEDs light up in sequence like a running light.
- During testing, the sd2snes logs the results to a text file called “test_log.txt” in the sd2snes folder on card. I might ask you to upload it after running the diagnostic firmware ;)

I know how to use it, I just wanted to see if people having these problems with this game had their test logs

it's still active, but the author is being cautious enough to fly under ninty's radar

I wonder if anyone out there can patch International SuperStar Soccer 2000. I had no luck with S-Paladin. The PAL version has an exclusive mode not present in the NTSC release

International Superstar Soccer 2000 has a PAL-exclusive Career Mode I'd love to be able to play in 60Hz.

You're only supposed to set the time right after you replaced your battery, so there are three things to be considered:

1 (most likely) - You reversed the poles when installing it. Check the polarity

2 (likely) - The battery you got is a dud

3 (not very likely) - Something happened during your installation and you ended up busting the RTC chip

4 solder joint(s) connecting battery holder to the board snapped. Also unlikely, but another possibility.

I agree, most likely #1 or #2

True, forgot about any possible damage to the battery holder

Hello friends, well, I believe that because of language difficulties, they have not read the description, in the case of LOGO PS1 the video itself say :  is a video !
In Brazil have many haters in YT and they are defaming the boy, without taking into consideration all the content, collection, donations and help that he provides WITHOUT REQUESTING NOTHING !

As for the friend who quotes the Xbox, he really lacks knowledge, afinal does not n64 run DOOM2?

Read the description!  it is perfectly possible to develop these modifications I am a programmer and I know what I say, alias, nor is it so hard

I even made my projects !

Thank you and I ask that before you judge READ !

I'm brazilian as well, and I am fairly certain this is as fake as a $2 bill. He mentions somewhere in the comments that this was achieved with 5 lines of code and a couple of files from FreeDOS.

EDIT: he also mentions he got the audio working just by readdressing it LOL

Aroenai, thanks for your hard work on making these definitive editions, they're nothing short of amazing.

I would like to know if it's possible for me to change the text behavior when pressing 'B', where it skips all text to the end (great for speedrunners) but instead making it skip one screen of text at a time. I want my text a bit faster, but I keep inadvertently skipping everything. It's been a long time since I've played and I'm afraid I might miss stuff I would need to read to progress in the game.
