EverDrive GB / Re: Should I bother with a backlit GB Pocket?
« on: November 27, 2016, 04:26 PM »
i have a few gameboy pockets in mint condition. i once bought a used one (still in great condition) and an handheldlegends backlight kit. i failed completely in the installation and wrecked the ribbon cable lol. i ended up with some blacklines but the backlight was good. i might do a second attempt and buy a another GBP and backlight set and give it another go. wouldn't dare trying it on my mint ones...

hmm yh the backlit ds screen is awesome for gba games, but for myself, i'm lucky to have 2 mint gba ags-101 systems (backlit) thinking about getting a used gba and move the screen of 1 of them in a standard gba

my friend has been using it on a daily basis now, still works like a charm. not that i support the fakes tho. original is the way to go

don't think it will harm it, don't know if it will work either. i think it only work when you flash a rom and then take out the SD card, otherwise it will boot to the edgb menu...

Looking forward to this...just acquired a Gamecube with the GBA adapter, as well as a SNES to GameCube adapter well as, the component cable... :o :o

lol you actually bought  a component cable? i think for gb(a) games the AV is good enough even on a 50" full hd. for gaming the component might be slightly better but i just got a cheap wii with component that i use for GC games and payed like 30euro for it. GC component prices are insane...

eneloops give good results, also: when you notice the flashing becomes difficult, turn down the contrast completely (so the screen is blank) and then press the button to flash. the modified firmware helps a little aswell

you can buy the ezflash IV with microSD from sites like aliexpress for 20ish euro's pretty cheap but the functionality is still the same. build quality is pretty cheap and if you like at the pcb you just know it's not gonna last very long... i'm eagerly waiting for a high quality replacement from krikzz. the youtube videos look promising it looks like it's near completion

can't wait for the day that i can finally flush my ez-flash IV microSD trough the toilet. i mean it works but it seems that the ED will run right of the sd card. and probs no rom patching either...

nice, one i will try it out tonight when i get home from work and report back to you

13 <-- on the approved resellers list on this website.
you can also just ordered it from this website. can't be any closer to the source (it's what i did)

stay away from ebay. there is atleast 1 known french seller that sells fakes and switches accounts often.

EverDrive GB / Re: GB everdrive and gb boy.
« on: January 14, 2016, 05:29 PM »
i got my gb boy 2 days ago. i think i have a bad revision because the buttons need to be pressed hard before the system responds to them, i opened the gameboy to check what's wrong, cleaned the contacts and all but nothing worked. i guess i'm just unlucky. i will stick with my gameboy pocket and gba sp ags 101

hmm those are some nice ideas, i love the MGB myself, i have 3 mint condition ones and i always use my EDGB on these. i have an AGS-101 gba sp aswell but it's not the same :p.
mysel, i get fairly good results with eneloops even tho i have to turn of the screen with the contrast wheel after a few flashes or it will go in a bootloop. anyway, succes and i hope you succeed :)
