FXPAK (SD2SNES) / Re: gsu (superfx) support [work in progress]
« on: April 17, 2018, 04:48 PM »
I have unmodified PAL SNES.
In v5 firmware there are no errors at all. Everything works fine (no glitches or other problem).

I've tested all ROMs of all Super FX games (PAL, NTSC-J, NTS-U).

krikzz, I found two more incompatible games, please check what's wrong with the cart's software:

1. PGA Tour Golf II (UE). Cart says the ROM size is 2 Mb, but actual size is 1 Mb. After trim operation (just delete last 1 Mb in HEX editor) the ROM became identical to GoodGen dump. I think cart incorrectly determines ROM size (second Megabyte is just blank space). Download dump, photos are here (upper USA dump with 4 pictures is mine).

2. Mystic Defender (UE). Cart just said it "Unknown (W)" and dump has correct size but is absolutely wrong internally. Download dump.

There are some problems with Mega Everdrive + OS v3.00
Cart hangs in every game after I push ""Back To Menu" option in In-Game Menu.
So this feature doesn't work at all although earlier there were no problems with versions v2.00 and v3.00.

My cart's assembly date is 02.02.2015
Console: original SMD-2 (VA1.8 PAL ASIA)

Mega EverDrive / Sorting problems (Mega Everdrive v2)
« on: April 19, 2015, 06:04 AM »
Я have some sorting problems with Mega Everdrive v2. See the picture:

Pleses solve this.

I know there is a USA version of this game, but right now it's not working too.
No there isn't, it's a Japanese-only release.

Yes, you're right.

So we NEED to start this translation of Japanese ROM on Everdrive N8.

The translation of Lagrange Point from AGTP is out:

So now we have good time to ask our lovely krikzz to add support of this game to EverdriveN8.

krikzz, PLEASE add support of Lagrange Point in nearest release of OS!!! :)

FXPAK (SD2SNES) / Re: About Downgrade SD2SNES to 1.1.6 HELP

Exactly this is not firmware as we are usually saying, this is software. sd2snes - just an OS folder.

Just remove this folder and copy needed version of the OS to SD card

nesos-v9 11.01.2013
1)Improved save state stability
2)Expansion joypad should work for save states, but not tested.
3)New mappers
4)More mappers with save state support
5)Partial MMC5 support. Seems like enough for castlevania

Great News!

Отличная новость!
Спасибо большое!

EverDrive 64 / Re: no expansion pak found
« on: November 30, 2013, 06:25 AM »
hi i use OS 2.04 and Firmware 2.31

in every game that needs or support expansion pak it is not found...
does anyone know whats to do?

if i use original moduls all works fine...

is it possible that the fault causes by using 3rd party expansion paks? i have not the original
my pak is a "power ram" like this:

I have an original Expansion Pack. There was no any problem yet.

Check your Expansion Pack first!

Could it be that it is possible to make games like Kirbys Dream Land 3 (Hoshi no Kirby 3) or Megaman X2 / X3 run on the Super Everdrive with Software Emulation of the Chips?

I'm afraid it's not possible.

Super EverDrive / Re: Super Famicom and U roms?

OP asked about region compatibility issues between USA and JP - there are none.
USA and JP consoles are the same internally, it's only external cosmetic details that prevent one from being played on the other.

Region issues only happen when you bring PAL consoles/games into the mix.

Yes, it's true.
All you need - is to insert a US cartridge PCB without a big american case :)

Enjoy it!

That's another popular NES/Famicom flash cart. This column is to let people compare the compatibility of those 2 products.

Now it's all clear :)

We use only Everdrive-N8 cart in Russia.

Ok, I see :)
Now it's clear for me. The main row is the first row.

And what about the "Powerpack" row, what's the meaning of it?

Anyway, I can check every unsupported game in your list.

I have time and it's interesting for me :)
