Edit: I've replied your PM.

I feel like this should be in the Off Topic board then here.

EverDrive 64 / Re: Any romhacks for Paper Mario?

I tried the hard mode thing by Skelux but that doesn't work. The only thing I got working is Skelux's text tool (I forgot the name) so theoretically one could make a working translation/amusing text romhack for console with it.

Asking for games here is not allowed. The least I can recommend is either getting a Retrode 2, a INLretro Dumper-Programmer or sanni's cartreader to backup your games and saves.

The only exception is some homebrew stuff.

EverDrive 64 / Re: Some questions about everdrive-64 X7

but those wallpapers in bmp format do not work in Everdrive-64 X7?
No, there is no way unfortunately.

In the previous Everdrive v2 and v3, do these wallpapers work with the size of 640X480 and in bmp format?

*Unless you are using Jonesalmighty's version of the OS for v2.5/3, which requires 640x240 for 240p or 640x480 for 480i in .bmp format respectively.

With wallpapers, it needs to be 320 x 240 with jpg.

I don't have a X7 so I don't know.

1. I believe you would just have to add an entry for the game in the save_db.txt.
I tried that but that didn't work since it shares the same ID as normal VPW.

2. Old save files for VPW1 would cause a crash since they are in Japanese.  So make sure you either move/rename them or delete from the folder. If a Japanese save is loaded while the English translation is running it would cause major issues. The save file contains euc-JP encoded wrestler names and the translation uses ascii.
I deleted both the JP and the EN saves but still got a blank screen.

The Japanese cartridge port version works but the English translation freezes at the 64DD™ screen. Maybe try contacting LuigiBlood?

@Kerr Avon Just a friendly tip: you can resize the image regardless of quality by changing the width:

Code: [Select]

as the images are kinda overblown - better to reduce and balance them.

EverDrive 64 / Re: so i tried fixing mario 64 the green star

Thanks for this, but regarding patching the rom, what is the file name of the game rom file needed, and what patcher program uses the .delta file, please? I've only been able to find programs that use .xdelta files, and renaming the .delta to .xdelta doesn't make the patch work, with an SM64 rom file that I can find.
Since the OP's link expired, I made the patch correctly instead. Confirmed working.

SM64 Land works (not) with the RCVI hack fix. Linked is a .bps patch file with this fix. Apply to a VANILLA US SM64 rom.
Tested with an Everdrive 64 2.5 on a US console.

Crashes after the tutorial sadly.
I got nothing but a blank screen on my NTSC console with an v3 cart.

I wonder if an IR sensor mod would be doable on a N64. Or on the Everdrive board.

Currently, No.

But if your N64 is equipped with Borti4938's N64 Advanced RGB board or the UltraHDMI, they both have button-combo reset functions.

I guess you forgot this website existed?

OK. Should I change the text to:

VF=3      (Virtual Pro Wrestling 64  2 English Translation)

and should I also add:

A2=3      (Earlier Virtual Pro Wrestling 64 2 English Translation)

for anyone who wants to try the latter?

Also, the VPW2 freem webpage seems to show a new version of that mod, released today, for anyone who's interested.
VF=3      (Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 Freem Edition)

A2=3      (Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 English translation by S.K. Stylez)

I remember making a wrestler on S.K. Stylez' translation but it didn't save my creation because I didn't put in A2=3. Adding it in fixes it so that's good.
