EverDrive GBA / exit current game to switch to new game button? - save state button?

is there a way to exit the current game and go select a new game without resetting the device?

also, how do i save and load savestates when using the emulator?  is there a menu i go into to set the save/load button?

what do GG and SMS mean?  im a total noob. just wnat to get this setup with the proper OS files and emulators.  where do i find those files you mentioned?    i just followed instructions i found when i googled.  which was to download the gbsys zip and extract it, the latest verions 12 i believe.  and then followed a link to a website that said to add the 2 emulators so i just extracted everything in there to this folder

setting up my new everdrive.  does this look river.  do I need all the extra emulator files or just the emulator that says .gba at end

What micro sd card is recommended for the everdrive gba? I’ve found only old threads at least 2 years old discussing. Has the issue been fixed and all brands and sizes work?

I don’t really understand lol. I was about to buy the x5 but want to make sure it’s capable of ,when running the nes emulator, being able to use the save states that let you save at any screen

Thanks. So for the emulator savestates, do the emulators that come with the gba x5 support save states? Like the nes emulator.

Does this mean the ever drive gba x5 does not do the save states even for the emulators it’s compatible with? Like how you can save the game progress at any screenshot basically and resume it there later when using emulators on pc

Can someone explain this further. It says all save states supported as one of the features on the info page for the gba ever drive X5.

Mame roms comes in archives (zipped but they can be extracted as well) with several files for every game. Each rom chip from the game's board gets its own rom image file and the number of files is different for every game. So which rom file are you going to rename anyway?
Even if the GBA is powerful enough to emulate many older arcade systems, I haven't seen a version for Mame for any system older than the Gamecube.

Was mainly looking to emulator that old Simpson’s arcade game. Tapper, and any of the tmnt arcade games as well.

What would happen if I took a mame rom and just renamed it to .gba or .gb. Would it play? Can I use a mame emulator?  I’m just talking about the older mame games like the simpsons arcade game era type. I was assuming the gba is strong enough to play them

Curious if the ever drive gba plays snes games or early mame roms?  Also what do I need to do in order to play the nes and older gb/gbc games? Does the emulator come on the ever drive already?
