Off Topic / MSX pack
« on: February 07, 2020, 08:44 PM »
This is a longshot but here we go..

does anyone know of an MSX fullset (including romhacks and translations) that have all disk image games combined into a single disk? I would definitely want to avoid doing one by one by myself.

Alternately, a tool that can mass combine disk image sets inside a folder.

Any help is appreciated, please share via DM as I don't want links to be public in the forum for obvious reasons.

EverDrive GB / Everdrive X3 not sold anymore?

I understand if you ran out of stock, but some stores delisted it altogether, are you planning to discontinue the X3?

Off Topic / New Saturn ODE in the works
« on: November 07, 2019, 08:52 PM »
Well, it looks like pretty soon we will no longer have to wait for 5 rheas or phoebes to be a made a year, we will have another option soon to rival them as well as the future satiator:

The guy calls himself CED2911 and has a github.  I don't know the first thing about him, but I hope he makes Krikzz's level of quality, and his ODE reaches 100% compatibility. In the same tweet he's been offered help with manufacturing and production, and he's accepted the assistance. Hopefully he'll make an arrangement with Krikzz to make our lives easier.

Googling his nickname shows he made a PPSSPP port for xbox360, interesting. His twitter shows he's been working on this since January.

EverDrive N8 / AVS new firwmares + v.20 beta
« on: July 26, 2019, 09:44 PM »
Has anyone tested the newest AVS beta firmwares with the beta versions of the ED FW? which ones work best with them?

It seems these were only bugfixes to PAL games, but the latest change may break other games.

Off Topic / New Mega Everdrive X7 revision!!
« on: June 24, 2019, 04:15 PM »

I'm speculating this is another FPGA going end of life, but what's interesting is that Krikzz replied to someone when asked about mega CD support "probably I must". Nice to see Krikzz stepping up to the competition.

FXPAK (SD2SNES) / Fzero audio de-sync issues? [SOLVED]
« on: December 04, 2018, 06:09 AM »
Hello krikzz / ikari

I played fzero today and noticed that the 3 tones that the game makes at the start of every race to signal a "ready, set, go" is de-synced. I made a small video:

3 chip ntsc snes (SHVC), no mods
SD2Snes rev F
In game hooks off
NTSC no-intro rom

My TV is a sony bravia Kdl-55w807a, which according to has ~18ms of lag with game mode on and all extras off.

Mega EverDrive / (SOLVED) Tanglewood RSOD on MEx3
« on: September 01, 2018, 07:12 AM »
Hello everyone,

I started playing Tanglewood on my mega everdrive x3 and this happened:

Is anybody else getting that?

I also noticed that the squirrel's ear (or whatever it's supposed to be) had missing pieces on the sprite. Clipped ears basically.

Is it my everdrive or would it be the game? I have a first batch x3 from stone age gamer, playing on a genesis 2 VA3 console.

Off Topic / New ODE for PCE/TG16
« on: April 30, 2018, 09:23 PM »
new all in one option for TG16 / PCE

Thanks, Smokemonster!

It's called the Hudebug, connects into the hucard slot, and plays everything CD, Hucard, etc.

No talk of pricing yet, but it might be as expensive as the SuperSD System3 minus the RGB out.

EverDrive N8 / AVS + N8 issues resetting back to menu
« on: February 27, 2018, 06:26 PM »
Is anyone other than me having issues resetting back to menu with the N8+ the AVS?

It used to work on v1 AVS, but I had it replaced with one of the new v2, and now it will not reset back to the AVS menu, I have to turn it off and on. Other than that, they work perfect together.

I tried v1, v1.10 and 1.2beta4 on the AVS, and the N8 is  on v16.

FXPAK (SD2SNES) / Tengai Makyo Zero!

The Tengai Makyo Zero translation is out!!!

How do we get it to work on the sd2snes?

Off Topic / Super NT - an fpga Snes
« on: October 21, 2017, 05:02 AM »
Why isn't anyone talking about the super nt here? Isn't anyone excited?

If its jailbroken it'll give Krikzz a run for his money as it costs the same as the sd2snes.

EverDrive N8 / N8 does not use a CR2032?
« on: April 26, 2017, 07:52 PM »
I purchased a few original panasonic batteries to replace the ones on my everdrives, as some seemed to have depleted. Much to my surprise, I discovered that my famicom everdrive-n8 does not use CR2032. I googled fami edn8 pictures online and noticed that earlier (or later) models used CR2032.

Can anyone identify which one of these I should be using to replace my battery?

From what I remember seeing last night, I'd say I need either a CR1025 or a CR1216, but I'm not sure.

FXPAK (SD2SNES) / Enjoy some PAL games in 60hz
« on: March 15, 2017, 03:35 AM »
This isn't ground breaking news or anything, but I thought I could share since not everyone here might know about romhacking dot net.

A hacker was able to develop a ton of PAL-to-NTSC patches with the correct speed and sound for notorious snes games.

So why is this important?

This means you can play both Twinbee games, and Bomberman 3 in English, on your real NTSC Snes console, without any physical region mod, and without slowdown.

You can also play Probotector AKA Contra: if you grew tired of playing with the same dudes over and over, now you can defeat some nasty aliens with badass robots!

You may also play any of the other games hacked in various languages, usually german, french and even spanish sometimes. This is nice for people in Quebec or South/Central America.

At the time of writing this thread the site was down for some reason, but once its back up you should check it out!

EDIT: Site is back up!, also some other patches will be surging soon: The Firemen and others...
