EverDrive N8 / Can't save state with n8
« on: October 31, 2015, 08:31 AM »
I have the option in the menu to save state and reconfigure buttons but I can't get it to work.
I have been trying tmnt and pressing start and up or whatever I set it to, but nothing. Tmnt seems to be on the supported list so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas?

« on: July 31, 2014, 08:16 AM »
Heya
Adam Koralik made a vid on the saturn and talks about a slot being there that might be able to have a flash cart made for it.

Is this possible?

Probable?

EverDrive MD / How does the bios feature for mega cd work?
« on: March 15, 2014, 05:49 AM »
I have the everdrive MD with no problems with it.
I have a problem with my mega CD mk1 where it freezes straight away on the load up screen. We are thinking the bios/bios chip may have something todo with it.
Would it be a good idea to try use the everdrive MD to fix this? Does it flash the bios or does it hold the bios on the cart and access it from there?

Any tips?
Cheers

EverDrive MD / v2 ram cart? And other questions on megadrives
« on: October 13, 2013, 09:53 PM »
Hello
1 Will the ram cart with newest bios and firmware act as a ram cart for the sega CD? I saw some threadds saying maybe, or yes but maybe. I have a mega cd on the way and wanna use it!

2 I see Igor the champ has povided 4 diff region free bios' for the sega cd. Which one to use? I have a JAP megadrive with language and ntsc/pal switch

3 Last 1. I have a shitty sound NON high def megadrive. BUT it has modded for sound and video outputs. The sound is great, much better than the front jack, but what is the dif with the high def vdeo outputs?
Cheers

Edit* Looking in the everdrive MD about section and playing with my switches one of the switches changes the region to either USA NTSC, JAP NTSC, JAP PAL and EU PAL. So that should all work fine right?

Super EverDrive / Chrono trigger sequal. Crimson echoes 2009
« on: August 01, 2013, 12:04 PM »

[SNES]Chrono Trigger - Crimson Echoes (Fanproject) [3.348 kB]

Chrono Trigger: Crimson Echoes was a non-profit fangame project developed by the international team Kajar Laboratories as a ROM hack of Square's role-playing video game Chrono Trigger for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It was conceived as an unofficial installment in the Chrono series, set between the events of Chrono Trigger and its sequel Chrono Cross.

You gotta type your or any old email in but I tried it and it wroks.
>End.

I loved chrono trigger as a kid and still have it now. This info was a great suprise to find for me a month ago or so.
Chrono trigger was teh first and only game I went and clocked again on my super everdrive when I got it.
This sequal PLAYS ON THE EVERDRIVE! How fkn awesome is that? The fan sequel to the best game ever plays on orig hardware, not just emulators. There is a further changed version of this game around by diff devs but that has like 6 roms and is emulator only AFAIK. Get your Chrono on!

I just got my modded megadrive V1 today in the mail. The megadrive
NTSC/Pal switch
10MHZ OC switchable
Jap/Eng switch
cart hole widening
composite mod (was s-video allready there?)

I CAN load/flash many roms from the cart in overclocked mode. I use Gen3 mode as I heard somewhere that works and it does.
I can NOT switch to overclock mode mid game as I do not have a stop switch. It freezes. If I had a stop switch I think it would work.

I cracked Megaman Wily Wars and loded it up to test. This game suffers form lots of lag especially the cut man boss.
I played through the first boss on standard speed and that boss must be like 5 FPS. Its painfully slow.

I restarted and switched to overclock (should be 10mhz) loaded the game and played through first boss. ZERO slowdown, ZERO artifacts or any issues that I have seen so far in a limited amount of roms played.

Anyway this thing kicks ass and I wanted to share.

A heap of parts arrived today for my first everdrive. (the others are on the way)
Check out the parts and the machine all together. The mid hole does not line up with this adaptor is the only issue.
It comes up as working on my NES but needs a SD card. Now I gotta go find a SD card...

Ive heard the everdrive does support save games but does it do both types?
The carts that usually have on board battery saves?
The carts that save to the memory pak?

This guys had some molds made and does runs of the US SNES Replacement Blank Shell. He also can do stickers for your games or Im asuming the everdrive logo.
I also know krikzz is always short of cases so maybe those two can make a deal?
Email him for a true shipping price as the international one is intentioally high so people contact him. I have ordered a cart and we'll see how it is in however bloody long the US postal system takes.
