got an original dpad on it, works really good, careful not to use the wrong base piece if you do this, i got them mixed up and one of them wasn't tight enough when i clipped the dpad back on it.

nevermind, after searching a long time and sifting through all these comments about not being able to remove a dpad, i found a video that shows it only takes a darn spoon lol. i'd much rather keep the krikzz shell and just replace the dpad. again, nothing really wrong with the joyzz dpad (it is properly aligned) i just like the softer curved edges of the original 6 button dpad, and replacing it would make it perfect in my book.

Joyzz / faceplate

anyone try to swap the faceplace from a real 6 button genesis to get it's d-pad. the d-pad on the joyzz is fine but the sharper edges get to me after extended use. the up, down left right part of it is a tad wider with sharper edge as well. i tried to change the faceplate, and it seemed to almost fit perfectly but it was tad too tight. i'm thinking some sandpaper to get the PCB a bit more room would fix this, the only other issue would be that the hole for the usb on the top would be bigger as it had to fit a cord in there. any ideas on how to fill that space without it looking like crap?

there is a ton of flash carts for the DS, acekard 2i is a good cheap one but there are better more expensive ones. they also AP patch on the fly, so you dont' even have to worry about patching the games on these things

ya i had this problem as well, including like green and blue screens which was weird. i had to take my nes apart (front loader) and take steel wool and rubbing alchol to the pin connector on the motherboard itself. i also used a card and thin rag with the solution to clean the 72 pin part itself as well.

ya but i'm talking doing it at 180p, for that you need an ouya, which will emulate N64 as well

you know i just realized you could just get an ouya and softmod that, it runs 1080p and can emulate anything the retron 5 can.

does it even load the menu lmao. i wouldn't imagine it could load much on that thing with the everdrive. maybe if you load a game into the everdrive on a real console then put it in the retron....... unlikely though

you need to do this to your converter. if you had a normal N8 for the toasters i don't think this would be an issue but i got one of the first waves of n8 and had to do this myself

what size is your sd card, i know that some OS will force certain formats if the card exceeds a certain size, if it is the right size card and you still have that issue you may try getting a format program to do it like that. what OS are you running btw.

although i wouldn't think this should be an issue with any size sd card, the only time i ran into this issue was on a terrabyte harddrive when it would force EX fat or ntsc. weird stuffs.

you might shave off some of the insert of the bottom piece like so to make it so it is covered on the bottom as well, i did this on my with scissors
