Almost 3 months later no answer.  What is going on with the X7 and KRIKzz?

Hey KRIKzz!  Any update as to why the genesis controllers stopped working on the X7?

With the Genesis controller the A button was unresponsive.  Since this was modified to work on SMS, I also tried an original Genesis 3-button controller and the A button was unresponsive as well.  That is when I tried my old original flat pad controller and it worked.  As I mentioned I have been using the Genesis controller on V1 for years with no problems.

Disk operations woks bit faster with Large cluster size (32k), this is the only difference.
What exactly you mean when you say “not getting back to menu properly”?
I will look on differences in controller handling in v1 and x7

Well it seems to be working now.  Maybe because I had the Genesis controller plugged in when going back to the menu the colors were off and when starting another rom the in-game menu would pop up again and I had to return to directory menu and reselect the rom again and then it would work.  Moving to the old pad controller seems to have the menu working ok.

Thanks for looking into the controller handling. I much prefer my Genesis controller.

Master EverDrive / Couple of X7 Questions
« on: December 27, 2018, 07:10 AM »
Just set up my X7 today and have a few questions.

I formatted the card with the SD formatter and then used Win10 to format to FAT.  Is the cluster size important?  I used 32kb clusters and have a little flakiness with the in-game menu sometimes not getting back to the menu properly.

Also, my Genesis controller stopped working with the X7.  It worked with the old V1.  This is a modified controller with a start button.  I plugged in my original brick gamepad and it works fine, but I really prefer the Genesis one.  Any got a workaround for this?

Love the fast loading and new features of the X7.  It's a great upgrade!

Ok, went ahead and ordered after clearing with the bank.  Just received it yesterday!  Thanks!

Hmm, sounds like that would be bad for the SD card over time.  Would make it wear down much faster.  Let's see what others thiink of this.

My credit card blocks orders from your payment processor.  :(

If it was on Amazon, I could order it today.  I'll keep looking for it to show up though.

Hey Krikkz, can you add the Master Everdrive X7 to your Amazon store?  I would like to buy one.

Will we ever see a Master EverDrive with a similar 1-2 second loading speed?  :D

EverDrive N8 / New Release - Mystery World Dizzy
« on: April 08, 2017, 09:18 PM »
New rom released by the Oliver Twins - Mystery World Dizzy, a remake of Fantasy World Dizzy for the NES.

Rom can be dowloaded here.

Tested working on my N8.

The "System Volume Information" folder is something Windows puts on there (which it marks as hidden), so you're kind of stuck with it as long as you keep using that Windows version. I know older versions didn't do that, but I'm not sure know exactly how far back you'd have to go to avoid it (Vista didn't do it; I don't know about 7 or 8 ). You could also try a non-Microsoft OS for maintaining your SD card, although I wouldn't doubt that a Mac would do something funky too.

As far as hiding the folders in the MED menu, V1 doesn't get OS updates anymore, so I don't think there's anything you can really do.

Thanks for the help.  I deleted the System Volume Information through Ubuntu and I'll just live with the MEGA folder.  Too bad it's not worked on anymore.
