from another thread but same issue: the function of the battery is to keep working the RTC and save data (saves are also allocated on SAVE and EMUSAVE folder), as FeverDrive said on an old post: "Sometimes when a battery is "dry" it doesn't mean it has 0 Volts, just that its voltage is below some threshold so the behavior when removing it could not be the same as when it's dry." For example, when I got that message some time ago, I just have to perfom the Pokémon E/R/S to Boktai RTC trick and the message didn't show up anymore. BUT, if you happen to receive that message and swap batteries or just let the old battery there, be sure to go to SAVE or EMUSAVE folder, select the save file and choose the option "Copy SRAM to file" for all your saves you consider important, if you run the game first chances are that the game will overwrite your old save and you will lose your progress (happened with Pokémon Emerald).

I am using Energizer Brand CR1220s.

How long does your battery last?

Got the battery that came with the Everdrive since April, still no battery issue

Just plugged mine to see if I had the same issue, but it runs the game smoothly on the GB Player, even a romhack of Pokémon Red runs perfect, maybe it's your Emerald rom

if you have Rev A you wouldn't have any problem

but he has Rev B is quite picky

Funny enough, my Everdrive is Rev B

When you place the emulators in the GBASYS folder, try to name them, for example, "pocketnes.gba" or "GOOMBA.GBA". Sometimes when the files are named that way will run or not

I bought an omega recently, on the first day of use it worked perfectly, on the second day, as i turn on the console, 70% of the time would appear the message "bootloader not found", so i had to turn off the console, remove the cartridge, and insert it again, until it worked. on the third day it was dead, only this message would appear, I had to return to the seller and ask for my money back, the build quality does not seem to be so great with this cartridge. 

Seems that the EZO isn't that superior to the EDGBA after all

In omega also you need wait 5-10 seconds after saving, if you don't, you can corrupt your micro sd and lost your saves, that's is a BIG problem for me.
