Off Topic / Re: Does the word "Krikzz" have a meaning?
« on: October 13, 2016, 04:38 AM »
Krik was his childhood nickname. He went to get krik.com and it was taken so he added zz.

This was posted a while back. I would have to find the quote.

I'm just saying, it seems the prices aren't reflecting the development costs, and more in-line with the demand.  Cashing in on Nintendo stuff is the trend these days with all the hipsters and millennials getting into old/retro gaming.
Assuming you place no value on his time. There was an old thread where Krikzz said he had something like 14 hours/day working on these. I seriously doubt he is rolling in your monies.

I only do EMS for shipping now. It is expensive - you may pay $50ish for a console, but you will have it in 5 to 7 days with tracking. It is worth it to not think about it. Air mail, which is a step down, normally makes it to the US in 2 to 3 weeks for me.

This has been kicked around a few times. I still think the easiest handling is something like 'if autorun.nes exists in root then start it automatically.'

People were doing this in the 90's. 8)

Here's a compilation of what I could find. This is tested working on the Everdrive. Press start to advance songs.

This is what was a big stink recently. N64 games on Alibaba. The PCB shows a real CIC and isn't terrible as a fake. It's not like there are glop tops and wires soldered.

My understanding from following the Nintendolife forums is that N64 repros just recently became a thing. They were freaking out over it because there hasn't traditionally been concerns if a N64 cart was legit.

EverDrive MD / Re: Region locked games on other region consoles

Sorry about that. I found a bypass code for US consoles (which does work) but does not help our Mega Drive situation. I asked Tony if he could modify it. See here.
