put it on generic 4:3 instead of the optimized modes. those cause issues with certain monitors and screens when using super nintendo. I've had several monitors lose sync in those modes.

what are your output settings? most importantly your 240p mode. 3x 4x or 5x? 5x is great if your monitor or tv support it but can cause issues with sync aka the video dropping out on your like you describe. The super nintendo has a weird refresh rate of 60.09 hrtz.
that is the main culprit of why sync loss happens on the ossc with super nintendo. For me I use 4x output and leave it on generic 4:3 instead of any of the optimized modes for 240p because those cause sync problems on my 4k samsung. If anyone reading this notices anything I got wrong I apologize this just based on my own trial and error trouble shooting and I don't know the ins and outs of the technical no how.

this guy also made a thread asking where to get rom packs. not the smartest peanut in the turd, clearly
I suspect not. I can't think of any logical reason to be asking about that game here of all places.

What are the chances there’s a rom out there that works on the fxpakpro of the X7?

Ok couple of things my dude. WWF Wrestlefest was never released for the Super Nintendo or Super Famicom. It will never run on the FXPak Pro seeing as how that is a Super Nintendo Flash Cart. When you say X7 what are you talking about? The Everdrive GB X7? The Everdrive N64 X7? Or any of the other Everdrives with the X7 in there titles. Either way doesn't matter the answer is still no because it wasn't released for those systems either. WWF Wrestlefast is an arcade game. The only way you're going to play it now is to either buy the arcade machine or emulate on something like MAME. I really don't understand why you're asking about this game on a forum for a Super Nintendo flash cart. No disrespect.

I second this. Man I've been wanting to play Far East on real hard ware ever since the translation came out. I personally can't stand using emulation because I'm very aware I'm playing on a computer and nothing beats an original SNES controller.

I checked the link. What exactly does this mean? I only saw stuff related to BSNES. Does super gameboy work on the sd2snes now? or what.

yes everything works, I'm trying my games :)

Is it possible, while i'm playing a game, to retunr to the main Sd2snes menu? Or have i to push the RESET button on the console?

thanks

Assuming you have in game hooks enabled in the sd2snes menu here are the button combos for different things.

L+R+Select+Start   Reset game
L+R+Select+X   Reset to sd2snes menu
L+R+Start+B   Disable cheats
L+R+Start+A   Enable cheats
L+R+Start+Y   Permanently disable in-game hooks (in case they interfere with game operation).
L+R+Start+X   Temporarily disable in-game hooks (~10 seconds - if you need to get past a glitch but don't want to lose in-game buttons)

can it play earthbound without the copy protection kicking in?
The sd2snes and sd2snes pro support like 99.9 percent of the games even those with copy pretection. There are a small number of BSX games that have some issues and 6 special chip games that do not work as of yet.i can not remember them at the moment but you can see a list on the sd2snes.de blog

Contacted him and copied the contents of the latest version from the website into the SD2SNES folder and that fixed it, but Doom's instruments eventually got quiet in the first level. Is that normal?
I don't honestly know if that's normal. The last time I sat down and really played Doom on SNES was when I was around 8 or 9. I only touched it recently just to see how it worked on the SD2SNES. I'm glad you got it working tho.

Yes the non pro model is compatible with super fx games which is what star fox 2 and doom are. Where did you buy your sd2snes? Do you know if it's a clone or not.

What firmware are you using? They do work. They work fine on mine and I have the sd2snes pro with the 1.10.3 firmware.

What kind of power supply are you using? Most common issues are caused by a third party or faulty power supply.

Does anyone know when kirby super star will be fixed in 1.10.2 or if a new firmware will fix it?

If my theory is correct the Japanese version known as Hoshi no Kirby Super Deluxe has hardly any bug glitches in it. It's also vastly superior to Super Star...

How exactly is the japanese version of kirby superstar better?

A different strobe on the splash title screen before the start icon appears, different strobe effects in gameplay a really cool water effect on the Fountain of Dreams, food that was later carried over to the Smash Bros series games as due to changes internationally a lot of food sprites were later changed to more common foods outside of Japan.

The PAL version known as Kirbys Fun Pak was actually based on the build of the Japan version but had it's food changed but unlike the NTSC version the effects are based off the Japanese build.

As for effects it's too hard to remember them all, you may notice the title screens strobe being a different color or if I recall it was cut entirely out of the Kirbys Super Star game. A lot of other stuff was changed too.

And lastly why it runs better is that odd line going through the sprites is non existant when on the SD2 SNES, it still has the odd line on a few static idle sprites but its less noticeable than the other versions.

Of course later versions of this game no matter what platform they came on became inferior due to the whole Pokémon Shock Incident, but why the NTSC version removed so many effects is still a mystery I haven't gotten my head around especially as this game was a 96 based one on release...

So to sum up the japanese version has a lot of visual effects removed from the American version? This I didn't know.
