EverDrive 64 / Re: New to everdrive, Gamersection.ca Review
« on: June 14, 2014, 10:26 PM »
Thought I'd give a positive review to a third party re-seller. I got my Everdrive from Emere.es, and it's very well made, using a blue case with no scratches or marks at all (the smudge on the front label is my fault)

SD Card slot is very well done too.

LSDJ and Nanoloop work fine, and unlike other flashcarts with limited memory, you can have not only both of them on the Everdrive at once, but also pretty much any other Game Boy game you want - even the entire library.

So yes. It's more than capable, and pretty much the best option - unless you want to get ripped off by buying another flashcart at almost the same price (cough 64m Smart Card cough)

I don't know if the Game Boy Camera ROM works on the Everdrive (it should do, even without the camera) - if that does boot, you have the music synth/drum machine in there too. So that's literally the three best music apps for the Game Boy on one card.

EverDrive GB / Re: Everdrive gb issue.

It's because of the higher power drain on those diddly AAA batteries. Is exactly the same on my backlit pocket.

Solution: Don't use cheap alkaline batteries. Use decent lithium or rechargables. Problem solved.

Super EverDrive / Re: V3 PPU?

Well, my SFC has pretty nasty blur on dark outlines (such as the HUD in SMW), and horrible noise on the image.

I've got an RGB modded SNES mini on the way now, and that looks fantastic in comparison.

I've designed a label for my everdrive whenever I get it:

What do you guys think? Either way, I've got a backlit GBP now which is awesome, but I'm slightly concerned at how the battery life will fare...the backlight takes a toll on the battery life as it is, even without the everdrive on top:

Super EverDrive / V3 PPU?
« on: March 03, 2014, 11:36 AM »
Got my Super Everdrive and SFC the other day - waiting for my scart cable to turn up and I need to know whether my console is a 1-chip model or not (better picture quality). I cant open the console up as two of the screws seem to be stripped.

The super Everdrive states the console's PPU is NTSC V3. Does that mean it's a 1-Chip console? iirc, the one chip board was the third Nintendo put out so that would make sense.

Thanks!

Mega EverDrive / Re: Custom Labels
« on: November 11, 2013, 02:55 AM »
Yeah, I could upload it at some point. Only issue is that the MEGA EVERDRIVE logo is hidden whilst in the console itself, but my design didn't permit it any other way.

I'll get the insert done, and then upload it some point this week.

Might as well use this as the de-facto mega everdrive label thread. Designed mine on photoshop at 600dpi, printed it onto high grade photo paper and then stuck it to the cart with decent adhesive:

Done an inlay for the case too, but haven't printed it yet. What do you guys think?
