EverDrive N8 / Re: RetroUSB NES Everdrive N8 SD initialization Error.

Format the SD card as fat16 and copy files again. I had this issue too. This has to do with fragmentation of mapper files.

EverDrive N8 / Re: Retron HD and the Everdrive N8

At first I did not want to buy AVS because the shipping costs and the price were too high. I've waited for reviews for RetronHD and then RES+ and some other less known clones. After each of them didn't support Everdrives and had multiple issues with sound or graphics I decided to buy AVS anyway. It cost me about 240 euro, (I could buy RetronHD for 60!), but I am still glad I bought it. It works great with my everdrive and all my original games.

I canceled my preorder (of Retron HD) because of this.

How do you know yours shipped? Was there a notification or just by looking at your order status? I ordered on the 4th and it just says payment accepted. Mine should ship sometime in the next 24 days.

Does an email with shipping confirmation ("Your odred has been shipped") count?

I would say that counts. I was mostly wondering how I would know when the cart had shipped. Looks like I'm hoping for an email.

Yesterday I received another confirmation mail, although I already had one.
I guess, the first one was incorrect. The second confirmation had also the trackung number, which was absent in the first mail.

08/03/2016    Shipped
07/20/2016    Payment accepted
07/20/2016    Shipped
07/06/2016    Payment accepted

I think Krikzz needs to develop it's own (clone) multiconsole.

I imagine something like:

With HDMI / AV output

Device price: 599$

with or without embedded Everdrives modules (integrated and cannot be used separately)
Each Everdrive module: 49$

Or it can be a basic device without any consoles parts but with separated modules for all those consoles listed.
So you can add only needed modules (e.g. if you need NES/FAMICOM+SNES/SF only). You have the device itseld and can add only needed modules.

Each console module: 99$

Of course, you can buy a PC, but what I imagine is a full clone with support of original catrtidges and controllers. I think with a proper marketing and kickstarter, he can do it.

It's the same as inserting and removing your graphic or sound card from the PC. Leave it inserted, it's better.

Mine has been shipped on 20.07.
So, yours will be shipped very soon.

Ok, now officially: Dendy Junior aka Magistr with 104 games will not work with Everdrive N8, even with a better power supply.
I tried it with a power supply with 9 or 12 V with 1,5 A (1500 mA). Green screen.

I don't want to try to remove the embedded games, because then I will have a non working console without any games. I will give the console away or keep it as a spare console for kids and will sell the everdrive some time later.

P.S. the everdrive is ok, I tested it with a NES (with a famicom -> NES adapter).

Thank you for your answers.
I'll try with another power supply first.
I am sure, the embedded games are not on a separate card, they are already on the mainboard.

It's exactly the same, as in this article:

I'll let you know if it works with another power supply (9v 1500mA instead of 9v 185ma).

I ordered directly from krikzz (shipment 3 weeks :) ).
The console is brand new, I used it only 2 or three times, I can't imagine it needs cleaning. Pre-installed games work fine.
I ordered another power supply EU 9V 1500MA Nagetive Center/Positive Outside, all the same as in the adapter which came with the console, only 1,5 A instead of 180 ma. Curious, if it'll help.

EverDrive N8 / Everdrive N6 Dendy Junior/Magistr Green Screen
« on: May 09, 2015, 10:46 AM »

I have a new famiclone named Dendy Junior (with more then 100 games preinstalled) and my Everdrive N8 (Famicom) doesn't work.
I only get the green screen. I also tried resetting.

Power adapter is pretty small and says 9v 180 ma (polarity (+) (. (-)), but I also tried another adapter with 9 v and 12 v with max 450 ma, same polarity.
The original NES/SNES/Genesis adapters, which I also have, have another polarity, won't work either.

Am I right, that it doesn't work because I am using a clone? (is it common for clones to get green screens?)

Doesn't matter, with or without SD card inserted, only the green screen.

There is even no flashing light on the everdrive (I saw in a youtube video, that a led on the everdrive flashes a couple of times when powered on). Maybe not enough power with only 9V 180 ma?

I also have a NES, but without the adapter (72 to 60, I am waiting for the shipping) I can't test it. If it doesn't work with it, I guess there is no other option but to send the cartridge back to Igor.

Do you have any experience with Dendy Junior from New Game?
