I updated from rc5 (which was working fine) to rc7 and now I keep getting I/O Errors.
I downgraded to rc5 and everything is working fine.
Same on my AV Famicom. rc6 and rc7 gave me constant errors.

Ok, I will try changing the battery when I have a chance. Does the battery also affect save states because even save states are failing me too. I just want to play PSIV

hi, everytime i try to save my phantasy star iv file it deletes hours later for some reason. if i power cycle right after i save it's still there but hours later it disappears. i have a mega everdrive v.2 (x7) which i bought in late 2015 and using the latest OS. could this be a battery issue?

Did it work for you? the game keeps crashing on me a minute after booting.
I'm using an AVS + EDN8 fami version. I tried all of the firmwares available for the AVS. I also tried v14 and v15 EDN8 OS versions, and I also followed the instructions to the letter, including formatting the SD card and defragmenting it.
Ah that sucks for you. Working for me although the music is a little quiet. Hopefully that's fixed.

I'm having trouble with saving on this game.
The only way that the game saves is if I reset the game. If I power off the system instead of resetting, the game forgets my save. Quite frustrating.
I have the Mega Everdrive v2 so I thought I didn't have to reset to save? What is the problem here?

I ordered from the retrogate black friday sale. Shipped Dec. 1 and I received my package on Tuesday. Super fast shipping compared to the last time I ordered from retrogate.
They are based in Ukraine (which is 7 hours ahead in time from where I am) so I figured they would be on sale on the Thursday here, which they were, so I think I was one of the first to order.
I wouldn't worry too much about it, you should get your package soon, they are probably backed up.

Third party pin connectors are absolute crap and not worth buying.
I agree that third party replacement connectors are a complete waste of time, but I would argue tat the BLW is a superior method to boiling the original connecter. If you are concerned about originality, just keep the parts you take out of your NES when you install the BLW. Those parts can always be put back in. The BLW doesn't make any permanent changes to your NES.
I don't doubt you that the BLW is a quality product (haven't used it but I'll take your word).
But why spend all that money on a BLW when you can just boil the pin connector and that fixes it 99% of the time? It's free and all original hardware is maintained.

Hi, just received my everdrive 64 3.0 and inputted my fully setup sd card.
I have an N64 but I don't have a controller yet. When I turn on the system with the everdrive inserted and no controller, the menu scrolls automatically as if I were holding the up button. Is this normal?
