I think we had a discussion about Akira before and the header was incorrect. I think I had added a patch in my no intro fix patch pack for those that were unable to fix it themself. Something about the SRAM byte not being enable. I'll look it up but it does ring a bell.

EverDrive N8 / Re: Unofficial Everdrive N8 Compatiblity List

Mapper compatibility of the Powerpak column is based on third party mappers (Loopy's mapper and TheFox savestate mapper). Those are pretty much the standard and the so called "stock" mappers are a joke and nobody should still be using them anymore.

Maybe Takahashi Meijin no Bouken Jima IV is not in the compatibility list because it isn't in Bootgod's database neither?

Yes, that is correct. I'm planning to do some change to the list that would make it more precise and useful but it is going to take some time. After that, we will be able to add game more easily and more detail about specific issues.

News / Re: ED64 v3 in progress

As much as I like updated version, I just sold my ED 64 v1 to get a V2 not even 2 month ago so it is a bit disappointing.

Lol, yeah, 1 month ago isn't really what I consider ages ago. Anyway, I still have an older version on my Xbox and wasn't aware a new version was out so thanks for letting people know. Pretty cool. It's harder to keep track now that Underground-gamers closed down.

Battlekid 2 was not working on the Everdrive N8 and Krikzz changed the mapper to make it work when a full dump surfaced online. It is still being sold right now so I guess whether or not Krikzz decide of supporting it depend on other unknown factor.

EverDrive N8 / Re: Konami Wai Wai World 2 supported?

I have tried many versions of this game and none work on everdrive N8 ! so Konami Wai Wai World 2 don't work on everdrive N8.

tested on PAL an US NES CONSOLE...

Fine, since you are failing at making it work on your own N8, then Konami Wai Wai World 2 doesn't work on any of the Everdrive N8 of the planet. Me playing with the game on my own Everdrive N8 2 min ago is just a fragment of my imagination. Serously, 3 differents peoples told you it is compatible on their own Everdrive N8. I also told you to get a no-intro dump which I'm sure you haven't tried and instead went to another crap rom website probably download the exact same rom you were having issue before.

Hehe I hear you, but it's also a reference for people who want to figure out why a game is not running. They go verify the game and if it's listed as comparible, they'll check their rom or the mapper listed on the list to make sure  the mapper from the rom header is the correct one.

Try to use the no-intro rom, I finished this game on my N8 and had no issue as far as I remember. The issue is bad rom 90% of the time.

Super EverDrive / Re: Super Everdrive V2 Save State Issue
« on: February 03, 2014, 08:27 PM »
Considering Krikzz decided to use .nes extension for sram save on the Everdrive N8, it is likely that he might have done the same on the Super Everdrive. Why he didn't go with with the established convention of .srm is beyond me but at least it's only a matter of renaming the extension in order to use your save on emulator and vice versa.

There shouldn't be any compatibility issue as those are just regular sram data and would even work on a real nes card if it was uploaded to a cart. Try it on a pc nes emulator after renaming the file to .srm. It might be corrupted.

I have just checked and the hack I played is Rockman 4 Endless. I have yet to try this inifinity hack but the description sounded like what I played in the endless hack so I thought they were the same. I'll try it on my N8 during the weekend and see if there's something to do. You could always e-mail the guy that made the hack and ask him, maybe he would fix it.

The everdrive n8 has quite good support for bootleg and pirate original but you can forget playing any of the Shenzen Nanjing game (Pokemon Yellow, FFVII, FFXII etc.) as they are way too big to fit the N8 memory. So even if Krikzz would implement their mapper, he would have to be a magician to find a way to load those games.

Replacing the cpu and ppu with cloned version is not the best solution. You might fix this small bug that krikzz would have ended up fixing in the future while lowering accuracy for all othee games... Those cloned ic might be better than the noac kind, but they are still inferior to official nintendo processors.

Krikzz started adding preliminary support for mmc5 so there's definitly hope for the future but in the meantime you can download the other rockman infinity hack, they are pretty awesome too. I remember playing 2 different infinity hack on my N8 and they were using more common mapper. I am pretty sure I played Rockman 4 infinity on my N8 before so maybe there's an older version that doesn't use mmc5?

Edit: I just checked and there's an MMC3 patch available in the zip. You can play this one on your flash cart. Apparently the only differences with the MMC5 version is less chance of slowdown in enemy packed area and some annoyance with the mega booster charging sound effect creating issues with background music.
