Of course, Virtua Racing won't work through the Mega Sg's jailbreak firmware, but most, if not all other games should, even games with mappers like Pier Solar. Plus the jailbreak can load Game Gear, Master System and even ColecoVision ROMs too.

They probably had to drop using SNES too, just in case Nintendo gets itchy and decides to sue over the SNES trademark (which they do use, e.g. in the SNES Classic name for example).

Simply put, the Mega Everdrive doesn't support the custom mapper Pier Solar uses. It doesn't matter which revision of the ROM you find/download, it won't work unless Krikzz adds support for it.

Hopefully Krikzz does add support for it someday, as the MegaSD flash cart supports it.

Known incompatibility, you'll have to disable the megakey feature if using it on a Mega Sg (and use the Mega Sg's region feature).

Running in an emulator is one thing, running on real hardware is another.

As a workaround you'd have to use the level select (look on YouTube on how the level select works) Game Genie cheat RFAA-E6W8

Or you can use the start on Asteroid M cheat BK6T-EAF2

I thought there was already a $1,000 bounty for the SA-1, but I don't think it's a partial one (for at least a PoC to see if it's possible).

Does cheats even work for SMS games on the Genesis/Mega Drive? Nonetheless, Pro Action Replay codes (one that are RAM-based) won't work with the Mega Everdrive.

Strictly speaking for Genesis/Mega Drive games on the Mega Everdrive, only ROM-based cheats (Game Genie) work.

A real Game Genie can also cause red screens.

This is what master codes are for. I'd suggest looking for them for your games here:

If they're not available for the game(s) you want to play, I'd request them on their forums.

I wish the Mega Everdrive would support RAM Pro Action Replay cheats, but it's probably extremely difficult to implement.

No, you don't need a Power Base Converter if you have the Mega Everdrive X7. Just know if you're using a 32X, SMS won't work while it's connected.

Unless I'm wrong, I believe it runs SMS games just like a PBC does - the Mega Everdrive X7 just loads the game ROMs like the actual cartridges do. You can even load and run the SMS BIOS on the Genesis/Mega Drive with the newest MegaOS releases.

That only works for ROM PAR codes. RAM PAR codes can't be converted to GG (nor do they currently work in the Mega Everdrive) - it's the codes that start with FF.

I'm just wondering if this could (ever) be supported? I have A TON of Pro Action Replay RAM codes for multiple games that don't have a Game Genie/ROM code equivalent and I know nothing about code hacking, using tracers, etc. so I can't create new equivalent GG codes.
