By fixing the issues with Doki Doki Panic, do you mean in a future update? Just curious because I am on EDN8-V2.02 and also getting the erro7 issue. Thanks.

Doki Doki Panic still present with the ERR7 with fw 2.03. Using non-modded av famicom.

I've tested out the Zelda II and I'm getting flickering lines as well. I'm using a vanilla av famicom with the pro and the flickering lines seem to be a lot worse with the FDS version of Zelda II. It's more than likely the game itself. I don't recall it happening BitD, but my memory isn't what it used to be.

Man, you aren't kidding. The entire bottom half of the screen is missing!? I'd file that as one major glitch! Just want to add that this on the pro as well as the original via 1.20 fw.

I just ran SMB3 in Mesen for the first time (longtime FCEUX user) and sure enough it's glitching exactly as it does on the N8. Why do I remember it clearly NOT doing that when playing SMB3 back in the day? Sorry KRIKzz....wasted your time looking for an already known bug. My bad.

Starts right at the curtain credits. It's pretty inconsistent but it will flicker during the credits and always at the "The End" screen.

One thing to note when upgrading the FW from to 1.16 to ANY of the test FW or the latest 1.20 is to not have the files copy and rewrite over old. The only thing you would want to save is the SAVE folder, so set that one aside and delete that entire EDFC folder and copy the new one to your card. After that, drop your previous SAVE folder and it *should run ok. I'm using an off-brand sd card but I've used Sandisk in the past and it seems to work fine.

One thing to note, and this may not affect you but I found the jump from 1.16 to 1.20 caused some of my save states to be all wonky. Looks like it's most of the Mega Man games. Others I've tried seem to load fine. These were all made from 1.16 FW. Save RAM on the other hand, seems to work fine as in previous FWs

OK. Just went through SMB3 for the umpteenth time. Yep, still flickers on the bottom part of the screen. This has been an issue since quite a few firmwares ago on the OGN8. Still present in the Pro.

...Had a little time today to test out the Pro's features and whatnot. Found a few bugs in some games. Not many, but then again I didn't test out all that many...

1) Having some problems with FDS disk switching games. Doki Doki Panic in the OGN8 works fine, but in Pro now I'm getting an Err07 when trying to load. This doesn't seem to matter if Disk Swap is on/off. Always points to Err07. Don't think it's the game

2) VS Excitebike that was patched to work with the real console, appears glitched (just the biker it seems) Again, worked with no problem with OGN8. As a side note though, that long standing bug with the Vs. patched T.K.O. Boxing is gone now. So that now works properly.

3) Caught this one twice. It very well could be from save state abuse but I found Mega Man 3's menu start to glitch out occasionally. I abused save states in MM3 with the OGN8, but don't ever recall this happening.

4) Well there is no 4 yet, but there was also a long standing slight bug with SMB3's ending screen glitching towards the bottom. I haven't tried that game out yet. Will probably do in a few days.

Overall though I'm liking all the new features and especially like how SS are written to the card immediately. Oh and the ridiculous game loading doesn't hurt either... ;)

OK....Silly question...I have the AVS and I would like to get this, but how tall is this cartridge? Is it roughly the same as an NES cartridge? I have my AVS sitting just underneath my TV but using the NES slot, it doesn't require the "lid" to be open.

...Tested both on the X7 with all optional settings either on/off. This isn't a huge deal, since Altered Beast (JU) (REV2) [!] works fine. But I wonder why the first two revisions just load to a black screen. No problems with other revision Sega games (Sonic 1,2 Golden Axe, Shinobi etc.) Anyone willing to test these on the Everdrive MD?

In addition I tried loading both on the jb firmware of the mega SG and surprise, they don't work on there either so its not an exclusive X7 bug as these games DO load fine in the Kega emulator.

Is that really the only problem with save states? The music in the background continues to play? Couldn't that be remedied simply by changing areas in whatever game you're playing? If thats the only minus, I think it's pretty minor. Sure, the same music plays or continues to play can get annoying, but depending on what game, music switches often. As long as the actual save state works without locking up, I think it would work fine as-is

I'm not sure why anyone would want the SD2SNES Pro to able to play as a SGB. The requests here have been for A) save states (which I can understand a wanting for) and B) SGB support. The SGB2 coupled with a GB X7 is a far superior solution. For one it won't be emulated or simulated and two, and IMO the best reason, No linking of game boy games. I can see someone linking two sgb2 and two GB Everdrives, but with a sd2snes wouldn't that be impossible? and negating what the Game Boy in general is all about? (This is obviously just an opinion, I know some people like solo GB games but the fact that the SD2SNES Pro wont have linked capability kind of makes a possible future implantation sort of "meh")

The biggest fault of the original SGB, besides having its timing off, was the lack of a link port.

Very buggy and crashy prototype ROM you have there. Seems to crash frequently in VBA as well. Not surprising it doesn't function properly on the X5. The crash has something to do with it trying to generate a save file.
