Thank you,  I got it to work.   Hopefully one day we’ll see an English Shindou wave race 64 come out of the woodwork.

This what I'm waiting for!

Oh yeah, I think you might have posted this pic in one of my other threads! Do you know how/why the shell was preventing the connectors from making contact?

I can only guess that it's not the same exact size as the original. None of my official Nintendo cartridges have that problem.

Smash Remix is a great time. I've been playing a lot of modded Legend of Zelda titles lately, myself. I've been really impressed with Missing Link and Dawn & Dusk so far, but I admit I don't know of too many more.

Didn't purchase my EverDrive 64 specifically for hacks but it is a really nice bonus feature.

A couple years ago I bought an ED 64 2.5, this is the older one with the Super Mario Galaxy label and a full size SD card slot. When I powered on the console with the Everdrive inserted I got nothing. I’ve tried multiple SD cards, I’ve reformatted them several times, nothing. There’s not even an error message, it’s like I’m powering on the console with no cartridge in whatsoever. Today I’ve been trying again with no luck, and all of the drivers are up to date. At this point I just want to know if the Everdrive is a lemon or if it’s something I’m doing wrong.

Try taking the PCB out of the shell. That's what I had to do because the case on my ED64 v2.5 was keeping the connectors on the PCB from making clean contact with the pins on the N64. Here's what my setup looks like.

Thanks for posting a pic to compare, Grizz! For those who may not know, the ED64 sticker on this cart is the "Super Mario Galaxy" style one Slippy was describing.

The shell of the ED64 I purchased was causing the connectors of the PCB not to make clean contact with the N64 so I removed it. This is the way my setup looks in actuality.

I've got the entire North American N64 library on that SD card along with lots of Japanese titles, some iQue games and even a few hacks like the impressive Smash Remix that includes Falco and Wario.

I have the older ED64 v2.5 that uses the larger SD cards. Here's a pic.

Just played Killer Instinct Gold and F-Zero X Expansion Kit on it yesterday.

I believe I needed to remove the shell of my EverDrive 64 because it was keeping the pins of the PCB from making proper contact with the N64 itself.

Here's what I use.

Holds the entire N64 library along with several hacks with plenty of room to spare.

BTW, I had to take my ED-64 v2.5 PCB out of its shell because it was causing the pins to not make clean contact. Haven't had any problems since.

Hoping the next character that gets added is Bowser.

I keep getting an error saying that what I'm inputting doesn't match the developer's original ROM. I'm using the SSB(USA) ROM that I got in the No Intro set in case anyone is curious.
Just source and use another rom, there's plenty of archives for romsets out there.

Got it to work with a ROM titled Super Smash Bros. (U) [!].z64  ;D

Played a little this evening and Wario is really fun to use. Sadly, with social distancing being a thing, I can't invite friends over to play the game with me. Nonetheless, Wario is generally my main in Project+ so I was eager to give his Smash 64 Remix incarnation a try.

This is how I store most my N64 and SNES games.

I do also have some Japanese games that I store in other places around my house.

It's really nice that Wario is now included in the Smash 64 Remix lineup.

This is very exciting! I wonder if the CTGP Revolution community will embrace this?

v2.5 and I'm very satisfied. Got it during a Black Friday sale for around $80 which is a major bargain for such an impressive bit of kit.
