EverDrive 64 / Re: Everdrive 64 X7 Won't Load Certain Games

Have you tried cleaning the contacts in the cart slot and on the cart? Rareware games seem to be a little more finicky than other games when it comes to PINs not making good contact from what I've seen.

This fixes Super Robot Taisen 64 original.

I've noticed from the image you posted that your game folder is in the same directory as the sd2snes firmware. You may want to move that folder to the root of your SD card as the sd2snes firmware folder won't show up in the list.

Tested Star Fox JP v1.0 with v05 on my 2-1-3 NTSC SNES and I was able to play the game from start to finish without any issues. This was done on a SD2SNES Rev.F I got from stoneagegamer back in 2015.

I've tested Yoshi's Island (both revisions) on a 2-1-3 SNES with a rev F SD2SNES and I didn't notice any issues other than some slowdown in some areas.

EDIT: I've also just tried all revisions of Yossy Island (the Japanese Yoshi's Island) and same.

I'm impressed that someone actually got Star Fox running on SD2SNES even with lag it's impressive.

Could you please describe in more detail what you changed apart from the region lock?

The region checking code is the source of all the problems. If you start the game on a non japanese console without a patch you'll get the lockout message, however if you soft-reset the console the game starts and if you start a race the other racers won't move. Also the engine sound volume gets set to the wrong value due to the buggy region lock code and the rankings data will also be wrong.

The changes at $DDA and $DE2 are to disable the buggy region lock code.

I made this patch for the japanese version of Virtual Racing Deluxe a while back. It removes the issues that it has on non japanese consoles including the region lock. This was tested and confirmed working on my US model 1 Genesis with the Everdrive MD v3.

I've used the 3-in-one adapter before and I ended up having to replace the fuse in one of my SNES consoles back in 2007 though I have the official power supply now so yeah I would stay clear of it.

EverDrive MD / Re: Everdrive md clone?

Anyone who has a real EDMD with PCB rev 2.2 if I may ask what is the difference between this cloned board and the original  (assuming you can see this as it was taken from my phone)?

I got my Everdrive-MD v3 the other day and I was wondering if there is any way to convert my Knuckles' Chaotix (or any Genesis game for that matter) save file from Kega Fusion to the format used by the EDMDv3.

EDIT: I noticed that my save file for Knuckles' Chaotix was 1 kb in size and the 8to16 tool doesn't work for this for some reason.
