EverDrive 64 / Re: GoldenEye With Mario Characters

Goldeneye also has push button codes in the original game, so those might still work to do the unlocks.
Or, even easier, you could use a GoldenEye savegame from the internet.

Try this rom: "Super Smash Bros. (U) [f4] (GameShark)".

It is already prepatched so that you can use GameShark codes. You can download it here:

With this rom, it is not necessary to use the Master Code. I did not test your cheats but when I last played the game, I was able to use the cheat to play as Metal Mario on the Metal Mario stage in VS mode.

EverDrive 64 / Re: ROM trimmer?
« on: December 31, 2017, 12:19 PM »
So if I'm understanding this correctly, trimming ROMs would be a bad idea for certain games.
From my understanding, it would not make much of a difference.

On any ED64 pre v3.0 you only habe 64mb memory (512mbit = 64mb). Games that save to cart require 64mb+X kb memory. Since there is not enough memory on the EverDrive, the last kilobytes of the 64mb that were actually reserved for the game are overwritten with the save. This can cause bugs in some games that utilize the full 64mb, like Pokemon Stadium 2 (PAL). You cannot fix this problem by trimming the rom or else parts of the game would be missing and you would get the same or even worse results.

On the other hand, it might be possible to trim games that are 512mbit but do not utilize the full 64mb. The save is always stored in the last part of the EverDrive's 64mb and it does not matter if the memory is prefilled with the game's rom data or not.

NFL Quarterback Club 32X still does not work, stays on blue and black screen
This game needs a patch in order to work. The patch can be downloaded here:

Maybe he is using it for FDS games (they can only be run in combination with an Famicom Disk System/FDSStick or an EverDrive).

It would be helpful if the threadstarter could post a picture of his exact problem.

Try the patches from this thread: Genesis controller compatibility fixes for SMS games

No it's a patch. You can use the tool Lunar IPS (Google!) for patching and of course you need the 32x rom you want to patch (without [f1]) (Google!).

Refer to this thread for rom patches:

I've done this, even has the link with the rom hack and pach but the link is dead
Use the links from Google Drive...

EverDrive 64 / Re: No colour NTSC PAL ED64 V3
« on: August 20, 2017, 07:00 PM »
You need an RGB or HDMI mod in order to see everything in colour.

after cleaning it worked, still give errors now and then since you now have 2 connection points...

I remove the 32x most of the time now if not needed, because I can't play Master system with it plugged in.
There is a hardware mod for the 32x so that it can play Master System games as well.

EverDrive 64 / Re: Save Game Issues

N64 emulation is still far from perfect. Therefore, emulators create savegames that are not always compatible with real hardware. Sometimes a simple byteswap will make them work, other times more changes are necessary.

It would be easiest if you just use the savegames from this thread, which have been verified to work: Save Files tested and working on the ED64

Great! This is one if not the most needed feature.

Mega EverDrive / Re: Multi region hardware advice

Great, would it matter what 32x I buy? Being from UK the pal version is easier to get but would try to source a ntsc one.

Thanks again!
You should buy an NTSC one because it can run games at the correct speed (60Hz). All 32x games have NTSC releases or can be patched to NTSC. This doesn't apply to PAL.
