Earthbound random flickering on SD2SNES 0.1.7e

I am playing with the same setup and I get the screen flicker too. It has wierd lines during the flicker. Only in battle. Didn't notice it untill the path to Saturn valley ..almost always occurs outdoors so far. Very annoyed

Do you have hooks enabled? If so, turn them off, fixed the issue for me.

I tried this game and also to me flicker at the end of the intro and when enter the name, but no during games.
Super mario all stars: flickers when play the game, mario bros only during games, mario bros 2 is unplayable trembles and flickers.
Super mario world: flicker during intro, when play at random.
I deleted the file config.yml, put off in-game mode and i use usa roms.

I cant make it much further than the VERY beginning before the game graphics locks. Anyone else?
