master everdrive v02 FPGA core question
« on: October 03, 2020, 11:42 PM »
i don't know if my master everdrive x7 has the issue with v02 FPGA core or not. what are the drawbacks if it does not have v02 FPGA core?
i know 4mbyte roms will not work but what is the max size that will work? i have not seen anyone say what the max size is for the carts without good v02 FPGA core.
i'm not into demos and the largest game or even homebrew game i will be playing is 1mb.
the fixed Asterix and the Great Rescue is 1mb in size due to this game needing to be doubled in size for it to work changing it from 512kb to 1mb. will this work or is the supported rom size without proper v02 FPGA core even smaller?
i would just test this myself but i don't have time to unpack my stored system in order to test right now.
 any info would be great.
