Repairing a snapped off mini usb port
« on: October 08, 2020, 09:21 AM »
I was lowering my new standing desk and accidentally snapped off the mini usb port on our sd2snes.  Everything else about the sd2snes still runs perfectly.

How likely is it that this can be repaired and how much risk is there of damaging it?  Is it worth trying to repair or would we be better off buying a new one if we want to play co-op games in the future?

There is one solder pad ripped off where the space is now. Would have to verify which one that is and then... maybe not so easy. Rest looks fine and can be fixed.

Is either ID mode detect port (grounded over resistor or never connected at all) or Data (-). One needs some soldering skills to wire again.
