The fantastic ongoing Banjo Kazooie mod, Banjo Kazooie - Stay At Home has received yet another update, and now you can (and must!) guide Banjo and Kazooie through Goldeneye's iconic first level.

It looks brilliant!

The mod also lets you guide Banjo and Kazooie through levels from Ocarina of Time, Bomberman 64, Super Mario 64, and Donkey Kong 64, and will hopefully distract you a little from the worry and the misery of the current Covid 19 situation, as you  guide the bear and the bird through these new (to them!) worlds.

To download the patch to create the mod, go to the above Youtube page, click "Show More", and follow the download link that you see.

You always find the coolest mods.

Unfortunately, I think we probably miss a fair few releases for the N64, owing to their not being a well known, regularly updated website for everyone in the N64 scene to send/post the news of their releases. Lots of modders tend to only release their mods/hacks on one forum, one dedicated either to that game, or to the game series that includes that game, and such forums tend to be pretty niche, and not well known to other N64 fans.

Every few days, I just look through the sites I know of, to see if there are any new releases. These sites are:

http://n64vault.com/ - A great archive for finding/downloading mods for Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Diddy Kong Racing 64, Super Smash Bros., and others. It's also the home of the Goldeneye Editor, which is used to create mods for Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Diddy Kong Racing 64, and others. If you want to learn to hack these games, then give the editor a try, though be warned, it will take a lot of time and effort to learn, as it is very complex and powerful.

http://www.shootersforever.com/forums_message_boards/ - Mainly Goldeneye and Perfect Dark related, but they do have mods for other games occasionally. This is also the official forum for the Goldeneye Editor.

https://n64today.com/ - A good news and opinion site, but I wish it was updated more often.

http://www.romhacking.net/?page=hacks&platform=27&perpage=20&dir=1&order=Date - N64 game mods.

http://www.romhacking.net/?page=translations&platform=27&languageid=12&perpage=20&dir=1&order=Date - N64 game translations.

https://github.com/hcs64/neon64v2 - The N64 based NES emulator.

https://github.com/JSsixtyfour/smashremix/releases - The web page of the excellent Super Smash Bros. mod Smash Remix.

https://pdroms.de/news/nintendo-nintendo64-n64 - Public Domain (i.e. free to download and use) games and utilities for the N64 (and other consoles and computers).

You can also find new N64 mods via Youtube. For example, Kaze, at:

https://www.youtube.com/c/KazeEmanuar makes some amazing mods. Unfortunately, many of his mods require an emulator, and so won't work on a real N64 (whereas every other link in this list gives mostly or entirely fully hardware compatible games), but he's currently working on a new mod, called Last Impact 2, which he says will be fully N64 compatible. Here's a couple of video previews of the upcoming mod:
