turns out your mini racers patched rom was patched with the same patch as mine. i think the confusion was because when i downloaded the original carrot release it states it's a v64 format rom and the patch says to apply to the original carrot v64 dump but the carrot file has the wrong extension.
after finding and downloading the original carrot dump again and loading it in tool64 the file is actually big endian z64 format not byteswapped v64 as the filename extension suggests.
here is where the crcs not matching confusion lies. after byteswapping my patched rom to match yours the crcs now match.

Didn't get PM Kerr! But lad over @ TiZ shot me those two v1.1s THANKS!!!

No, I've just checked, and the Sent Messages list doesn't show me as having sent it to you. I apologise, I can only assume that I'd hit the send message limit (you can only send four PMs per hour, no more) and then forget to send you the PM when an hour had passed and I could send PMs again.

If it happens again, please just PM me to remind you to send you the intended PM.

Anyone know if the Animal Crossing translated hack is still being worked on via updating and improving translations?

I know there are some people looking to get work done on it, but I don't think they have a full team together.  Just a heads up that all versions of it are still a little buggy and somewhat crashy.

I want to know if there is ever Twelve Tales of Conker rom hiding somewhere because I heard there were rumours of a rom being dumped. But I don't know where it is? Is it just plain rumours or did there use to be a Rom of the game?

Sadly, since Rare almost never talk about their games (Goldeneye is the exception, for some reason) we don't know how far in development Twelve Tales was before Rare abandoned it. Depending on what rumours you listen to, either the game was just a few test levels with nothing to tie them together and containing little real content, or the game was well on the well to completion and was fully playable. The truth is probably somewhere in between, but however much was completed, there is no publicly available rom as far as I know, and considering it's so sought after by N64 fans, then if a rom was available for play them it would probably be common knowledge on the internet.

On the other hand, the rom might be in the hands of private collectors - some people spend a lot of money, even tens of thousands of dollars, to own a game (even if the game is unfinished or even unplayable) and know that no one else has that game, and if this is the case with Twelve Takes then perhaps one day it will leak onto the 'net. You never know.

Hi sorry for reviving such an old thread. I'm an happy new owner of an ED64 2.5. I tested the english Animal Forest in OP and seems to boot and save fine without internal clock. Is it possible to have a (patch or prepatched) version with only ED v2 clock fix and in Japanese without the translation? Thanks to you all and specially to krikzz for developing such an amazing device

Been running a translated animal crossing on my everdrive 64 v3 for a while now, saves fine to memory card in the controller and loads fine, clock is enabled and working fine. There was one that would crash trying to save but I've since deleted that bad rom.

I read on this topic a lot of rare Nintendo 64 ROMs and I will try to find some of the games to download and play them. There are so much cool games that I don't know that they exist until now.

Any hopes of Turok Rage Wars v1.1? Banjo Kazooie v1.1?

From what I can tell, I only have v1.1 or later of five games;

Banjo-Kazooie (U) (v1.1).z64
Castlevania (USA) (V1.1).z64
NFL Blitz 2000 (USA) V1.1.z64
Pokemon Stadium (U) (V1.2).z64
Turok - Rage Wars (U) (v1.1).z64

I've sent you a PM.

So does someone actually have a copy of Turok - Rage Wars (U) (v1.1).z64 ??
trying to find this is tough

My EverDrive-64 X7 arrived today and this was an interesting topic to read  :)
Hope I can find the time to give it a go soon! (first have to find a micro-sd somewhere in the house  heh)

Looking forward to play Mario 64 NTSC-U (I originally played the PAL, but that's not optimized). Or should I try a Mario 64 rom hack?
