cursor scrolls up constantly in ED64 with no controller in Port 1... normal???

Does anyone else's do this???
CPU05 USA/CAN N64, no mods.  Just thought it was strange and wanted to know if this is normal.

Mine do too. It has something to do with the input your console "not" gets, when there is no controller connected.
