rev 1(MK1) was the prototype, not made into production. Rev 2 (MK 2) is the one current one that's being produced.

KRIKzz already answered him here
http://krikzz.com/forum/index.php?topic=1776.msg17746#msg17746
and that the version of E1b, C?

SD2SNES what version is currently the final?

and what version SD2SNES boards have for sale at the moment on stuffpoint.ru?
Unlike the Everdrive series is different in each new (re)version including OS software.

Sd2snes E1 and E2 series are virtually same except for components (chips) were used as KRIKzz stated.

You need to contact stuffpoint.ru, ask them which version they're selling.

OK. Anyway probably the only differences is still just alternative parts when older parts are phased out or gets harder to get. No new functions or anything.

Interesting. Ikari stated on his blog that the hardware is final quite a while ago (at least since krikzz started manufacturing them, I think). Any idea what the differences are from revision E boards? Or is it just updated because parts used on revision E aren't being made anymore? I think he also said that would be the only reason board revisions would be made now...

Well that answers that.

I got a little nervous when I read that my sd2snes might not be the latest version. Check Ikari's response to comment #31. In-game reset and cheat support are coming too. Can't Wait!

OK Ikari did say "Hardware upgrades might happen if any “physical” problems become known or some end-of-life parts have to be replaced.".

If you always want the latest version you would have to keep buying new SD2SNES carts all the time! And if you don't make one yourself, there's really no way to know how long the one you buy have been laying on the shelf. Ikari said "the capabilites of the hardware will remain the same." so he will probably not make new features that only works on the latest revision.

"Hardware incarnations? None. The hardware is final as it is. Minor changes are done to account for parts going out of production. These are not affecting the capabilites of the sd2snes though. What the hardware can’t (theoretically) do now it can never do." This is a quote from Ikari. The fact that it came directly from his fingertips makes me feel that it does not matter what revision card you have, so really there is no "best" revision.
