Completely lost here :P CIC?
« on: December 03, 2012, 06:52 PM »
Hey Everyone!
I'm a happy owner of a Super Everdrive, and On December 25th a Turbo Everdrive! These things are great!

Now I have my sights on a EverDrive 64, and I'm reading about the cic's. This is similar to the SNES I'm guessing, where you have to remove a chip from a real cart and solder it in. Whats the best chip to use on a Everdrive 64? where could I find this chip? also what chip can I use to bypass Banjo Tooies Lockout?

I'm completely clueless on the N64 scene.

thanks everyone!

So I'm guessing I'd want to use 6105 if I plan to play Banjo Tooie, what carts have this chip inside?

and if I use this chip will it stop other games that use a different chip version from working?

but be warned everdrive 64 is made for CIC 7101 (pal) and CIC 6102 (ntsc) for best compatability, sticking a CIC 6105 will run banjo tooie fine...but a few other games will not run (aint sure which ones)
