take a look at the sound options. this may be one of those games i encountered where the sound was set to off by default fr some odd reason. there is at least one or two n64 games out there like this for some strange reason.

Thanks for bringing this game up; it made me realize that I didn't have a ROM for it. I tried it out, and I unfortunately encountered the same issues as Keith_Loving. Has anyone figured out how to overcome the sound issue?

Run it on an emulator.  ;D

Seriously, I tried the NTSC hacked rom and it doesn't really work properly on my NTSC LCD TV, and sound doesn't work. The same rom runs in an emulator with sound, so it's an issue with the hacking... as usual.

seriously guys i just loaded taz express usa proto rom on my usa n64 and everdrive setup and it works fine with sound. all you need to do is at the screen where you pick a game save slot, go to the game options at bottom of the screen and you will see that by default the sound and music options are set to 0, all you do is raise the levels and there you go taz express with sound :)

chilly willy this ain't a ntsc rom hack of a pal game which wont run on lcd tv because i encountered that problem aswell, this is a usa region prototype of taz express which is supposed to be the full game that didn't get released for the usa region at the last minute for some reason. try it.. it works :)

I can't find the US version anywhere.  I found 2 different copies (f1 and f2) of a supposed NTSC version, but both have a rolling screen on my US N64.  Any tips on what to search for? I've tried "Taz Express (u)", "taz expressed unreleased", and "taz express ntsc".

i should imagine that the proto version is much larger because the code ain't been tidied up or something like that. i've heard the proto is complete and identical to the euro version.
