Does anyone here sell a pre configured SD card for the sd2snes?  Basically all the super fx games, msu1 and snes roms on an sd card ready to go??  I am struggling to find decent rom sets now that smokemonsters are down.  Can anyone do this for some ££$$$ please??

thanks

Google "SNES No-Intro ROM set" and you'll find what you're looking for. That includes all the retail ROMs including Super FX and the rest of the special chip games.

For MSU1 patches go to https://www.zeldix.net/f71-msu-1-hacks-database

Thanks man, much appreciated!

Are the msu1 patches you linked to full games ready to go with the better music, or do I need to patch roms? Sorry for n00b question :)

You'll need to patch the ROMs with the .ips or .bps patches supplied on Zeldix, and download the PCM packs for the music tracks.

newbie question. I've been wondering where people source the audio for the MSU1 files. The only one I've done so far has been Link to the Past and it's pretty amazing to hear that kind of audio out of the SNES.

MSU1 is capable of 16-bit/44.1kHz audio, in other words CD quality audio. So the source really should be a lossless one, sourced from soundtrack CD's, directly recorded from arcade PCB's or original music created in DAW's.

You can, of course, source music from YouTube, but the quality would severely downgraded as it's compressed (like MP3) and you're essentially wasting the capability of MSU1.

Thanks, I was curious how people are sourcing some of these tracks. I imagine there's a Gradius III OST on disc somewhere.

edit: sure enough there is https://otaku.com/products/219

Yeah. I sourced the Gradius III tracks I created from CD, but not from that particular release, as the audio on that has a lot of reverb and effects at the beginning of tracks.

This is the one I used: https://vgmdb.net/album/21897
