Hello I'm new here.

Is there a ROM version of The Adventure of Link that works with an actual NES? I patched my own rom and it works fine with emulators but I get an "Error: A5" when I try to load the game using the latest OS and the 2017 version of the patch for The Legend of Zelda (prm0) version.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

No, that romhack is too large for the N8 and/or the Powerpak. There would have to be a hardware revision or new flash cart designed to accommodate the larger ROMhacks, which also include FF7 and SMAS.

That romhack can only be played on the NT mini unlocked or on emulators.

I've got trouble with the NTSC game Freedom Force on my PAL console and was wondering what the issue might be..
It's glitchy and not really playable because the graphics are totally garbled up most of the time.

But the list says that the game should be compatible. So could 50/60Hz timing issues be causing my problem? Or an incorrect ROM header / wrong mapper information? How could I check that? Probably with a Hex Editor?

Not with a hex editor. Run it in an accurate emulator like Mesen or Nintendulator, select PAL mode and check if similar things happens. It's highly likely a game that don't play well on PAL because of timing issues.

Thanks for the hint! I could reproduce the glitches easily with Nintendulator: the game runs fine in NTSC mode and after switching to PAL it's just as garbled as on my console.
I guess then I'll have to get a NTSC console + TV if I want to play the real thing. ^^

That game is slightly different from other Mapper 16 games, enough so that it gets assigned its own Mapper, 153, by the NESDev forum.  Krikzz doesn't support 153 or the related 157.

Partial MMC5 support was already added to the firmware a while ago and the latest OS v20 beta update have almost full support implemented. There seem to many bugs with that version (at least last time I tried and read comments about it) but you should give it a try and see if you<ll be one of the lucky one that doesn't have all those error using it.

I can't run Burai Fighter or To the Earth. It's these two games only and I have no idea what's happening. I'm on OS20, headers/mapper are correct, they're from the same romset as the other 173 working games currently on the card, but they're crashing. It's different each time, too. Sometimes a gray screen, sometime a red screen with noises, and sometimes the title starts to show up before becoming garbled along with the music holding the same note. I've tried other roms and formatting the SD card, but to no avail. Does anyone know what might be going on here?

RC7? MMC3 is broken in RC7. Use RC4-6 instead.
