New OS Update for CD Bios Loading

I'm away from my setup for a few weeks so I can't test out the latest OS update. I'm excited to hear more about the new option.

Could you please let us know how the new CD Bios loading feature works? I assume that it's a way to directly boot the Sega CD without needing to use a boot rom? How do we set it up with the particular bios that we'd like to use?

Basically, you push on "Run CD-ROM" in main menu, and cart boot your sega-cd from its own bios, instead of use some bios file from sd card. Same feature were available with mega-ed v1, but initial release of OS for mega-v2 did not has this feature

So if I'm understanding right (my stuff is packed up, not able to test), there's just an option to boot it from the actual CD's bios now when there wasn't in version 2?

So you should still be able to boot other region's bios by selecting it like any other rom, correct?

Does this stop the problems of some CD games not loading when a BIOS was launched via Everdrive, Krikzz?

This problem was fixed long ago

It was available as a beta for testing, which might be why you might have missed it.

Could someone link to the Mega ED 1 OS that has resolved the CD freezing? The Dropbox link on the main thread seems to be dud.

Why would an important fix such as that only be implemented in a beta release and not the official one?  Doesn't make much sense to me....

I opened a post earlier about support for the ME v1. Why is the ME v1 not being supported anymore? I understand the V2 / X3/X5/X7 support is important for sales but a lot of people bought the ED v1 and still want support / fixes. and a final release of the V10 firmware.
