Thanks again. I got confirmation from the RetroUSB folks that both the NES and Famicom slots support expansion audio so I ordered the NES N8. Can't wait to vaguely approximate my childhood.

@lee4 how do You know it will run on the system from the photo? This is the one with one of the cartridges included inside and running when there is no cartridge installed. I have this clone and unfortunately everdrive stay silent there, it even does not blink the diode. Tried more powerful power adapter and still nothing - have two other clones where blinking but not working everdrive started to work when You switch the power adapter having additional 9v200mA... On Pegasus even saves works, on another modern clone everything except saves.

PS:My handheld nes just arrived from Aliexpress and as supposed unfortunately everdrive blinks but does not work there - it seems 4xAAA batteries are not enough to power console and everdrive :-(

Nearly all NOACs won't even load the N8 at all. The rest will not load some games and might not support save states or expansion audio.

The only 2 clones worth your time are the AVS and NT Mini

I made a test with the noacs i have.

Alliexpress with hdmi, and remote wirelles controllers.

https://youtu.be/0wAGx-PV7c8

Firts version. Hdmi output recorted in sides, power supply by plug and hdmi always 16:9 (hdmi and rca simultaneos output).led is red. And have 88 games in memory.

-everdrive n8 boots and run games.
-save states not work.
-expansion audio works.(hey the noac is crap in some sound but works XD).

Same console, but revision two. It have 4/3 16/9 selector, power supply with mini usb, led blue, and not output simultaneosly rca and hdmi with the same 88 games in memory.

Everdrive n8 not boot(black screen).

Subor d99 (with deteachable pads).

-everdrive n8 boot and run games
-no expansion sound.
-no save states

Subor d99(with wired pads).

Same as de subor normal.

Pending snes retrobit adapter.

No noac umc chips nevir nvr-vi

-Everdrive n8 boot and load games.
-save states work
-expansion sound work at least in 60 pin port.(but sound in lagrange is a little low). The retrotoad adapter to 72pin in the nevir 72 pin port not sound the expansion sound. But probably was the 60 72 pin adapter.

I add the compatibility of the snes adapters:

Columbus circle nes/famicom snes adapters:

I tested the famicom with the n8 and black screen, not light in the everdrive.
I tested the nes  with the n8+retrotoad 72 pin-60 pin adapter, and same, black screen.

Retroport+yellow 60 pins sold in alliexpress.

Same test method, it boot in the two, but is unestable, games can freezee at any time, for example super mario bros freeze in the first subterranean level, or indiana jones temple of doom freeze when you start the game.

So  unfortunly not appear a clone is compatible with everdrive in the snes.
