Master Everdrive on the original SG-1000
« on: March 31, 2016, 02:19 PM »
Hello, sorry if this was asked before but wasn't able to find an answer

Will the master everdrive work on the first SG-1000? With the proper adaptor of course

if yes, only with the SC-3000 games.... but nobody have tried it before and be aware that the OS could be only made for the SMS so the everdrive wouldn't not run on the SC-3000 (or the SG-1000 it is the same machine without the keyboard)

sure, SG1000/SC3000 is not forward compatible

I asked because I'm not familiar with the hardware of sega 8bit machines (talk about a messy lineup!) and since there is some compatibility between master system and mark3 and both are backward compatible maybe there is a chance the master everdrive can work on the older models

Hi, no it does not work.

Many people have tried on various Sega forums with no success.

They're actually both the same console.
