Everdrive MD Not recognising SD cards
« on: July 24, 2012, 02:03 AM »
Recent purchase of a Everdrive MD all seems to be in working order (playing Street Fighter II pre loaded onto cart).

OS version: 23
firmware version: 12
file system: FAT16

However the cartridge will not recognise my SD card.
PNY SDHC 4GB

Tested fully formatted to NTFS, FAT, FAT32(Default) with no difference.

From the information I can find my OS is beyond the mark required for SDHC cards, its bellow the maximum 32GB size and FAT32 is a supported card format. So why is it not recognising.

I would also add that I was very disappointed to find the SD card limitations after purchase. Especially since it is not even mentioned in the user manual. It has left a sour taste on what otherwise seems to be an excellent product.

I wonder where did you get so old version of cart?

I purchased at ToToTek in January so after release v29. So clearly I need to find a committable card to upgrade my OS. MMC seems very hard to get hold of, will plain SD work with my current OS version?

Thanks

any 2gb or smaller card should work. osv23 supports fat16 only
