Famicom signal question
« on: March 22, 2017, 07:08 PM »
Hi there, i bought myself an original famicom which is AV modded. Im on Pal region tried to connect it with my crt tv but no picture is seen.
I tried composite outputs. I tried scart to rca adapter. Still same results. Rf also no picture. Damn im littlebit disappointed if i don't get to play it.

I made little google search. https://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/nintendo/nes/nintendo-nes-av-composite-audio-video-scart-cable-tv-lead-cord

That's what i found. Will it work?

Im not sure if i have right adapter with it also..? http://www.ebay.com/itm/182481430436?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Thank you!

Seems like your TV doesn't support 60hz. Do you have any other NTSC consoles, and do they display correctly?

Take apart the 2p controller and clean the contacts under the microphone slider switch. Otherwise, check if the video signal wire inside the unit is crossing paths with the audio signal wire.

Use a good quality power source.

Okay is that what i have on ebay link good quality one? It has wrong polarity on this, i can change polarity and i can use console with it ?

One problem also what im facing is screen flickering. The adapter i use right now for testing is:
Input: AC 220-240V, 50/60hz
Output: 9V, 850MA.

My friend told it's too weak and thats why the sound and flickering problem could be.
