The X7 is basically the Mega Everdrive v2.

My point was to make sure people understand that MegaED X3 and X5 would not get the feature, it's an X7 (or MegaEDv2) only feature.

I wish Necronomfive had a way to backport it to the MegaED v1 I know it won't happen, I waited so long for that feature to come alive only to see the MegaED v1 being replaced by MegaED v2 and now the X-line .... I mean hat's off to Necronomfive for having done the heavy lifting and donated the bitstream/VHDL to Krikzz .... man you're a saint, unfortunately I cannot afford to buy an X7 anytime soon

You can sell the MegaED v1 to partially fund the MegaED X7, I'm sure you've thought of that
