FC Everdrive N8 produces garbled sprites, real carts don't
« on: October 29, 2017, 12:01 AM »
I'm using a Famicom N8 purchased from SAG on my stock AV Famicom.  The Everdrive produces garbled sprites in every game.  I also have real japanese carts for Mario 1, Mario 3, and Dr Mario and those all work and display fine.  But if I fire up the ED and boot up those three games (or any other game) I get messed up sprites.  I found one post that mentioned a bad batch of Everdrives went out earlier this year.  Can anyone confirm that?  I just contacted SAG and explained it to them, hopefully they can replace it for me.

I did try reformatting the SD card as well as trying several different power adapters, both original and modern.  It didn't help.

Yeah, your cartridge seems to be part of the defective batch.
I hope StoneAgeGamer contacts you soon.
